I have to say smartest thing Anthem ever did was allow WWE to use TNA footage for the Network since they put Impact Plus's logo on the footage and get good advertising from the biggest company in the world in return.
Would've been stuck in OVW the entire time ....the TNA run helped him more than anything.
If I was Truth I wouldn't have turned down the TNA run for anything. He got to be NWA's World Champion. Though, I just don't get why WWE let him go.
Also....you don't really hang out with big name rappers as a local opening act.
You get treated like a backstage fan, they take a picture, pretend to take your demo and ask you how long you going so they can go smoke.
I know local rappers in Vancouver who have pictures with legends too......all the same story.

Seeing Truth win the NWA Title on the WWE Network is surreal. So cool to hear him talk about it too.
I’m pissed that even when they do let R-Truth win, it’s still a joke, the man can fucking wrestle and they won’t let him. I’m pissed that AJ Styles is Wrestling Undertaker at Wrestlemania because I’m tired of seeing Undertaker throw his old, broken body around in the ring for 5 minutes. AJ will get a decent match out of him but we don’t need it. I’m pissed that a 53 year old man who can’t even do his finisher just put an end to a decade of Bray Wyatt clawing and scratching at a title run when he’s been one of the most innovative and adaptive wrestlers in the company, and we just all have to ignore the fact that it took 20 fucking curb stomps and Rollins still didn’t win, but 3 spears and a half assed jackhammer from a wrestler who looks like a retired pornstar was enough to get the pin CLEAN. The only good thing about this show was Angel Garza winning because he’s incredible, and Brock Lesnar absolutely fucking burring Ricochet.
