WWE Smackdown TV Taping Results
Air date: April 16, 2015

-John Cena came out and talked about his match with Rusev at Extreme Rules. He explained that a “Russian Chain Match” is basically a strap match, but instead of a rope or strap it’s a big chain, and he’s tied to a big Bulgarian dude. Cena said he could lose the title before the PPV, and with that announces his open challenge. Cesaro and Tyson Kidd come down and call themselves the best champions in WWE, trashing London. Daniel Bryan eventually comes down to even the odds and it sets up the obligatory tag match for later.

1. Bray Wyatt def. R-Truth. This was Wyatt’s return to television for the first time since WrestleMania, and he squashed Truth.

-They air part of a Roman Reigns interview, which may end up being this week’s sit-down YouTube interview. We’ll know on Wednesday.

-The Miz came out and put himself over as a big Hollywood star come to the UK. He trashed Mizdow. Bad News Barrett interrupts to a big reaction.

2. Bad News Barrett def. The Miz.

-Renee Young interviews Damien, and they are cut off by a pissed off Miz. The two get into it, and they end up agreeing to a match on next week’s RAW with the “Miz” gimmick on the line.

3. Neville def. Sheamus via DQ. They had a pretty good match until Sheamus started attacking him and throwing him into the commentary area, etc. Dolph Ziggler rushed out to make the save. He cut a promo about nobody liking Sheamus, including the Welsh. He challenged for a match and Sheamus told him to “kiss me arse”. I guess this set up some sort of “kiss me arse” match at Extreme Rules?

4. The New Day def. Los Matadores.

-Fandango is officially splitsville with Rosa Mendes after a backstage segment.

-Big Show came out and insulted the English. He said nobody in the world was a threat, and Roman Reigns was just a disrespectful annoyance and not a legitimate threat. He went over to the taxi from RAW and made everyone look at the dents in the car, then sat on it and asked the Authority for a Last Man Standing match at Extreme Rules to finish the job.

5. Cameron def. Natalya & Alicia Fox in a triple threat match.

6. Fandango def. Adam Rose.

7. John Cena & Daniel Bryan def. Cesaro & Tyson Kidd. Bryan made Kidd tap out for the clean finish to end Smackdown.

Mainevent was too short for my liking, but seeing as Bryan was sent home right after it, I could understand why it was rushed.

i had a fun time at the show, really liked Sheamus/Neville. Just a shame they tried to ruin it with the Dolph stipulation at the end. WHY THE FUCK WOULD I WANT TO WATCH ANOTHER MAN KISS ANOTHER MANS ASS?

Enjoyed both Neville/Sheamus and the main event but Bryan was clearly protected.

Sheamus/Neville was the best part of this show easily.
