I was in a very bad relationship. Let's just say my bf mutiliated himself and it caused me a downward spiral. But the day we broke up, I didn't touch a drink for five years

I found out what my problem, why i was drinking. I fixed the problem and it went away. It was when I realized I WAS TO BLAME that I quit

My college tried to force me to go but I challenged them on it, because they cannot mandate religion

Some people don’t get that you can get from alcoholic to consuming alcohol in moderation, and it’s even less tough to do than to quit completely

That's the best way to do it. If you don't want it for yourself, then no amount of talking in a group is gonna make you want it any more
