WWE has signed Canadian Superstar Kevin Steen to its NXT division. The burly, outspoken, Package Piledriving Quebec native, who bolts around the ring with equal parts grace and bad intentions, thrives on throwing fists and talking trash.

A 14-year veteran, Steen began training, with his parents’ approval, when he was a teenager. Possessing what no less than “Stone Cold” Steve Austin has described as a “hell of an arsenal,” Steen has earned many accolades in North America and abroad, including the Pro Wrestling Guerrilla and Ring of Honor heavyweight championships. In 2013, the magazine Pro Wrestling Illustrated ranked him 10th on its annual list of the world’s top 500 wrestlers.

Along the way to becoming a world-class competitor, he also amassed one of the largest followings of any wrestler outside WWE, a fanbase that belts out their “Fight, Steen, fight!” mantra with pride. In his first official interview as a WWE signee, Steen spoke to WWE.com about his long-awaited signing, his expectations for NXT, WWE Network’s debut on Rogers Communications and his well-documented passion for visiting zoos.

A couple of days old I know but I figured I would put this up. Really looking forward to them debuting a bunch of these new guys that they've signed because while I haven't seen anything of them, they come with a bit of buzz about them giving their indy statuses and such. I do like how they're playing up some of these signings on the website as big deals though like they did with Kenta & Prince Devitt previously.

Just looking forward to watching a bunch of new talent in all honesty because right now i'm so over Neville/Zayn/Kidd/Gabriel, I just fast forward everything related to them.

I'm still real iffy if he'll work out well in WWE. I'm a fan of the guy, but I just don't see him doing very well for some reason. I hope he does though, but he better recognize the difference in performing in WWE than ROH.

I haven't really seen much of him but from what I've seen and heard about the guy this is kind of a signing that I didn't expect WWE to do. Really not too sure what they are going to come up with for him but I' am intrigued by it esp whenever he gets to the main roster cause he seems like a pretty unique talent.

Package Piledriver out of the arsenal and powerbombs are no longer transition moves and not for the apron.

Should be a utility guy, indy marks better not expect everything under the moon for him, save themselves the aggravation and hope he can overachieve.

I'm not so sure about that. The article at WWE.com does mention him being the "Package Piledriver" aficionado or master or something like that. Never know anymore.

The guy has a strong promo, and has enough in the ring, if not quite having the look which WWE normally goes for, but this is a slightly different WWE than the past few years. He will have to adapt but I think he can find a decent spot over time.

I see a career mid-carder. He is a good hand to have, since him & Ambrose should be able to put on one hell of a match in the right environment, and I can think of a few guys he should be able to have solid matches with as well.

His promos remind me of Shane Douglas to be honest, lets just hope he can deliver a decent promo without swearing all the time.

Seeing him in that picture with Triple H is so cool. I'll definitely be checking out NXT to see how he does, as well as Devitt and KENTA.

I don't think the transition will be a problem for him. He's really good on the mic, and I've seen enough of him to know that he can work a slow, methodical style. I'm not sure what moves he'll be able to do. The Package Piledriver will most likely be dropped, and probably his top rope senton as well. I hear Dean Ambrose has been made to stop his cannonball as it'll be used by Steen, but I'm not sure if that's true. Whatever he's given though I'm sure he'll do fine.

Will all these new guys be allowed to keep their names? Steen, Devitt and KENTA have all been mentioned on wwe.com with those names, so hopefully they won't bother changing them.

Still don't see what supposed mic skills this guy has....youtube show is boring, sounded slow on Austins podcast....WWE already has a fat, brawler guy who can talk....:bray:

But again, still say they should put glasses on him, wear a t-shirt that says "save the indies" and his promos would consist of outdated inside terms and talk non-stop about "workrate".

What happened to the lumberjack gimmick?
