This week's WWE and Lucha ratings:

Smackdown 9.6
RAW 9.3

No surprise here with the bigger ratings, as Thursday was the Sin Cara signing press conference and Friday newspapers all over the country covered it, increasing interest in the product. WWE signed the biggest star in CMLL so obviously there was going to be a surge in interest.

CMLL 2.6
AAA 2.8
AAA's ratings have fallen by a third in the last several months, to the point that AAA braintrust has started to publicly reach out to CMLL, asking for help by working together to "rescue Lucha" from the clutches of WWE. While it may have been a grandstanding play to babyface AAA in the eyes of the Mexican fans as CMLL loses Mistico, it's pretty amazing to see. It's also amazing to see two companies that were so popular getting wrecked by WWE in the ratings.

Previously RAW and Smackdown were getting ratings in the low 8 range so they have jumped by at least one point. Huge boost considering he hasn't even debuted yet.

Not looking good for wrestling in Mexico. I expect WWE to run a tv taping there within a year, it would draw huge crowds to see Mysterio, Del Rio and Sin Cara.
