WWE Selling Cena Sucks T-Shirts

At this weekend's house show, WWE debuted a brand new "Cena Sucks" T-shirt. Now, fans that hate him can pad his pocket with T-shirt royalties!

Vince is a genius. It is so simple yet so brilliant, some fans will buy this t-shirt to show that they hate Cena but then they probably don't realise they are making him and WWE more money.

Hopefully a picture shows up online soon.

Simple design with the large "Cena Sucks" text below the words "Let's go Cena". I am sure it will sell quite well and we should see them mentioned on RAW this week.

Think this is apart of them putting over this storyline of the fans who hate him getting to him so yeah would be surprised if this didn't get brought up one way or another. Don't think it's on WWEshop.com yet though.

No it isn't up yet. I had a look before at the new releases and at the coming soon sections but there was nothing on there as of yet. They must be waiting to debut it on RAW before adding it to the website.

Nice work by WWE capitalizing on something like this. Even if I was a Cena hater I'd still be hesitant about buying this just because it's based off a chant that supports two sides. That is just me though, not some casual who happens to be there and doesn't like Cena.

I think that this whole 'Rise Above Hate' campaign is here just to make the topic hot before they turn him heel. This shirt will play a major role, though. Imagine this - the majority of the WWE fans nowadays actually hate the guy. So imagine all of them with either CM Punk shirts or the new Cena Sucks ones, making Cena freak out.. think of the rest yourself.

Meh, I guess people who hate him with a passion won't realize that Cena will proffit from these. If I hated him so much I'd make my own but tbh I kinda like Cena as a person, may get one for teh lulz tho

Haha! I love it and a great marketing scheme by WWE. I would buy one but I don't like the "let's go cena" on one of them, still under serious consideration for it though!

WWE might be looking to rehash an old angle with this product as well. When The Rock first turned heel and basically became The Rock character it was after he was booed by the fans for being a bland face and during that time fans would regularly chant "Rocky Sucks". Now that Cena is feuding with The Rock I would be very surprised if WWE didn't make the connection and mention the similarities on television.

Cena On "Cena Sucks" T-Shirts, Says He Turned Down The Idea In The Past

A fan recently informed John Cena on Twitter that WWE is now selling "Cena Sucks" t-shirts. Cena replied with the following tweet: "It is what it is. Id have to say that u would approve..me I just show up and give all I got. Rise above hate."

Interestingly enough, Cena claims that WWE approached him back in 2008 with the idea of selling the shirts, an idea which Cena claims he rejected - until now. "They have wanted too since 2008. I told them no. Finally I just said I dont care. Im fine with the way things are. Some like me. Some don't."

Interesting that they have been trying to do this for that long. Guess that confirms exactly when WWE just finally accepted it for what it is.

I agree, the fans are going to boo or cheer whoever they want. WWE has no control over it and needs to accept it. Which I'm glad they did, but why did it take Cena so long? That's 3 years later he finally agreed to it.
