PWInsider reports that WWE released the following NXT wrestlers this afternoon:

* Mason Ryan, former Nexus member who last lost to Tyson Kidd on NXT TV

* Shaul Guerrero, known as Raquel Diaz. She is the daughter of Eddie and Vickie Guerrero. This was her second run in WWE developmental.

* Danny Burch, a UK talent who had been signed since 2011.

* Oliver Grey, a UK talent, who just returned from a knee injury after being out for a while. He last lost to Camacho on NXT TV.

* Sarah Backman, an professional arm wrestling champion from Sweden, who was signed in March of 2013. She was recently re-named Shara in NXT. We are told that Backman requested and received her release several days ago.
Kinda surprised they let Guerrero go after only just coming back. Same with Mason Ryan really, don't get me wrong I don't like the guy but I'm a bit surprised they didn't at least give him another go on the main roster.

Mason Ryan, got the real Batista back, don't need that cheap second rate knockoff version and spent what? 4 years in Florida and hasn't improved a lick? Yeah, fuck off muscles, you people are a dime a dozen.

Surprised by Guererro, probably asked for the release again or showed a piss poor attitude on her second run. Act up in developmental, you ain't seeing the light of day.

Mason & Shaul will be in TNA by summer, they are exactly what they love, someone who was seen on WWE TV, and someone with a last name they can shit all over.

I think Ryan has had enough chances and I don't see that he offers much.

Don't know much about Backman but when you sign someone in March 2013 then unless their horrible you need to give them longer than 14 months.

It said she requested her release.

I'm really surprised about Mason Ryan. I mean, 4-5 years in developmental and still he doesn't know how to wrestle? Why would they release him? WWE missed their chance.

I've been hearing that Mason improved in NXT. I haven't had a chance to see his NXT stuff, but I never thought he was as terrible as everybody says.

He wasn't just terrible per se, it's just that he needed to improve and it's been years without any notable improvement.
