WWE Raw

Greetings all, this is my first BTB in 4 years so be gentle with me.

My aim with this is to operate under strict rules, and to not just have my own way with my dream roster. I'll be sticking to what the WWE already have and trying to make the best of it. Please don't expect to see Samoa Joe or Ultimate Warrior on my show. I want to see if I can do something different and better than the WWE creative staff, if I had the same roster and restrictions that they do.

Also, please note that I will NOT be putting pages and pages of detail into match descritptions. The way I see things, the booker's job is to craft the angle and the storytelling, but the wrestler's job is to convey that physically in the ring. I understand that most people will react badly to thing and will no doubt leave comments advising me to add more detail to the matches, but this is not something I plan on doing. Thanks for reading and enjoy.

I actually like this format better. Although it's not as detailed, it's easier to read. So that's a plus for me. As for the show....

Episode 1: I liked that Legacy was out to scout Carlito's match. It fore-shadows that they are looking for recruits. I comepletely forgot that Fetus was even on RAW.

What I didn't like was what you did with McMahon. You made him seem like he was the big man when Jericho and Show confronted him in the office, but later during the divas match he "Mr. McMahon comes down to the ring and pleads with Chris Masters to break the hold". He went from big boss man standing up to Jeri-Show, to "pleading" with the lesser guy Masters.

Episode 2:

Legacy makes another appearance but this time is Primo. I don't think they should have actually been on commentary, they should have just sat there. Let the fans try and think about what Legacy are doing, rather than coming out and telling everyone what they are doing.

Are you a Swagger fan. He's the only one that gets any color. And lol @ the Red, white, and blue that you're giving him. Well red, yellow, and blue.

Why did McMahon give Masters a match if he was going to suspend him? Couldn't he have done that last week? You kinda made Kingston look like a joke and apparently an after thought to the US title picture. That seems to be all about Swagger/Miz now.

But still, it was a good read.

Legacy have a conference with each other on the Raw stage as Carlito is pinned.
Winner - Kofi Kingston

Backstage:- Jack Swagger is in Mr. McMahon's office, complaining about the Double Jeapordy Match at BRAGGING RIGHTS. Swagger says that McMahon could be handing the United States Championship to Smackdown! Or to ECW! McMahon says that would be great for business, and fans would tune in to see Shelton Benjamin as the US Champion. Or maybe to see William Regal with his European hands on the gold. Or...better yet...John Morrison as both the Intercontinenal AND United States Champion! Mr. McMahon says the ratings would be through the roof! Jack Swagger storms out of the office.

Chavo Guerrero Vs Evan Bourne
The two lightweights trade hip-tosses and dropkicks in the early goings. Evan scores with a springboard Enzuigiri to get a very close, near-fall! That shot looks to have woken Chavo up, as he nails Evan with a stiff European Uppercut! Chavo traps Bourne in the corner and punnishes him with quick blows to the body. Chavo starts off the Three Amigos, the rolling suplexes, but instead of a third suplex he finishes off with a brutal looking Brainbuster!

After the match MVP confronts Primo and the two men have words in the ring, as Legacy walk backwards up the ramp, keeping a watchful eye on events.

Michael Cole gives us an update on Mickie James, and they roll the footage of the savage attack from Chris Masters two weeks ago. Cole says that Mickie's collarbone is still injured, but she will be returning next week to work as an Interviewer for Raw. Chris Masters is still suspended.

Jack Swaggers All-American Title Celebration continues as the United States Champion comes down the ring with the American flag. There are flagpoles attached to opposide ring-posts, and Swagger explains that the first man to raise his country's flag will win.

Raise The Flag Match
Jack Swagger Vs Santino Marella
Despite being the foriegner in this situation, Marella gets a great fan reaction, much to the chargrin of Swagger. Swagger grabs a microphone and tries to start a "USA!" chant, but the Raw fans ignore him. Marella grabs the microphone and succeeds in getting the Raw crowd chanting "IT-AL-LY! IT-TAL-LY!" Breaking Point is shaping up to be a good ppv.

Your Cena promo was spot on. His exchange with Punk was pretty good, promo of the night.

I'm glad that you didn't just drop Legacy checking on Carlito. His 1st loss shouldn't have rendered him out of the group, but 2 losses aint looking too good. As for Primo, with his in-ring style, I can't really see him as a heel. If you're going down that route, it should be interesting.

I hope that others will vote too when you have the Bragging Rights voting poll open.

I personally think that you should write out promos, matches if you don't want to do them and they drag with the same outline it's fine everyone has their own style but when you run down the card you can still have Cole talk and Lawler talk in quotation marks instead of that being recapped as well. You have a two hour Raw show and with it all recaped into minimal typing, the show looks like a half an hour show.

Cena and Punk were decent, it is hard to review this and comment on something when it is a short overview of the promo and recpaped. You don't have to post a show every few days like you did, I suggest taking your time and making it out in full for promos such as those but I guess that promo was decent, it did serve a purpose to get Cena and Punk to go at it in a battle of words. I hope that Punk inifies the titles seeing as you have both champions on Raw.

Carlito and Kingston was alright, it could have shown more of Kingstons high flying maneuvers and being a dominant mid carder. Though I guess it was an alright filler.

It seems you are pushing Swagger much, I like this. I personally think that he has a young Kurt Angle in him and a very bright future ahead of him if booked properly.

I applaud you for doing something with Chavo Guerrero, heck he could also be in legacy if you wanted him to- Chavo is a great wrestler and a third generation one for that matter and he does deserve better then what the wwe is doing with him currently.

Primo & MVP? seems like a bit of a random thrown together team on the spur of the moment...

Punk taking on Cena would be great, next week it should be Punk & Jericho taking on Cena & Henry that would be something nice to have as a main event.

You should think about using italics, bolding, coloring, fonts it makes it much easier on the eyes.

Good luck with your thread, 4.5/10 ... keep at it and keep going don't give up.

Although I won't be covering ECW and Smackdown, I will be re-capping events on those brands which effect Raw. Obviously, with Bragging Rights coming up, that will be more than normal.
-------------------------------

ECW On SyFy
The show opens up with Chris Jericho and The Big Show, the self-proclaimed 'Masters Of The Universe', strutting to the ring in their designer suits, carrying the WWE and World Tag Team Championship belts.

Jericho: "Ladies and gentlemen, you are in the presence of REAL champions! I know that you're not used to it on this show, but tonight you have some true Superstars. We are the Masters Of The Universe! We are the Unified Champions of the WWE! And we are the most dominant force on Raw, Smackdown and ECW!"

This brings out the combined union of William Regal, Vladimir Kozlov and Ezekiel Jackson. The three men gather on the ECW stage as Regal raises a microphone.

Regal: "Gentlemen, allow me to welcome you...to our show. Furthermore, let me introduce you to your opponents for Bragging Rights, and the next Unified Tag Team Champions, my esteemed colleagues Mr. Kozlov and Mr. Jackson!"

Jericho: "Regal, you and your international nobodies might be the top dogs on ECW...but we have been ruling the WWE for over a decade! Between us we have held 44 championship titles! And tonight, any one of you who wants to test us....can face....the Big Show!"

Regal: "Not only will I face that gargantuan ruffian, but I'll beat him, and prove to the WWE Universe why I, William Regal, should be in that Double Jeapordy match at Bragging Rights!"

William Regal Vs The Big Show
Regal is accompanied to the ring by his Roundtable, and Jericho stands in The Big Show's corner. The Englishman avoids the huge man's reach and employs a hit-and-run tactic, nailling The Big Show with blows to the kidneys and back. Regal climbs to the second turnbuckle to get enough height to grab a headlock on The Big Show. Regal tries to force Show to his knees, but the World's Largest Athlete crushes him with a back-suplex!

The Big Show grabs Regal by the throat and lifts him up for a Chokeslam, but Regal gets free and drops down to kick Show's legs out from under him. Regal kicks and stomps on Big Show, dropping knees down to his face and then locking on an armbar. The Big Show powers out of the hold, getting to his feet, whipping Regal into the ropes and then clobbering him with a huge clothesline!

Ezekial Jackson slides into the ring and stands between Big Show and Regal! The referee starts yelling at Jackson to get out of the ring, as Vladimir Kozlov sneaks in behind and delivers a quick series of headbutts to the Big Show's back! Jericho gets in the ring and starts brawling with Kozlov! Ezekial Jackson grabs The Big Show, but Show hurls him out of the ring! Regal pulls a pair of brass-knuckles from his tights and nails The Big Show in the back of the head! Regal covers the Show, folding his legs up to his chest and gets his feet on the middle-rope for leverage!
Winner - William Regal

The Ruthless Roundtable quickly make their way up the ramp, raising Regal's arm in victory!

wwe.com has an interview up with one-half of the Unified Tag Team Champions Chris Jericho, where he talks about pinning John Cena.

"I beat him one-on-one. I pinned him one, two, three. The Big Show did the same thing and became the #1 Contender. So as far as I'm concerned, I'm the #1 Contender as well. We both are. That's fair."

And Smackdown General Manager Theadore Long has announced that John Cena has been granted a One Night Contract for this week's Friday Night Smackdown! What response will the WWE Champion have for CM Punk after his interference on Monday Night Raw?

A re-cap of Raw's involvement in Friday Night Smackdown

Friday Night Smackdown!
WWE Champion John Cena kicks off Smackdown, walking down to the ring with the championship belt around his waist.

Cena: The Champ! Is! On Smackdown! And damn it feels good to be back! Back on the show where I first started! The show where I got my first match in the WWE! The show where I become the United States Champion! And the show where I first became the WWE Champion! Now thanks to Teddy Long, I have a special One Night Contract and I'm here for one reason. C...M...Punk! Punk likes to play games, he likes to sit on the sidelines and get in other people's business. Now me? I don't play games. I'm a straight-up soldier. When I got a problem with someone I go straight at them. So tonight, with my One Night Contract, I want CM Punk's ass in this ring!"

As soon as this challenge is extended, the World Heavyweight Champion walks out onto the Smackdown stage.

CM Punk: "You're just like everyone else in this arena, John. Always looking for an excuse for your failures. Always blaming something or someone else for your weaknesses. And you are weak, John. I can see it in your eyes. On Monday Night you lost to Smackdown Superstar Chris Jericho, tonight you're gonna find out why Smackdown is the #1 brand, and why CM Punk is the World Heavyweight Champion!"

Later in the show...

Mid-way through the show, Chris Jericho and The Big Show, the self-proclaimed 'Masters Of The Universe' come to the ring in their designer suits, carrying the Unified Tag Team Championship belts.

Jericho: "Once again we have decided to grace Smackdown with our presence. We don't have to be here. We spent Monday night on Raw, Tuesday night on ECW, and now we're here on Smackdown! We are the hardest working Superstars in the WWE. The ONLY Tri-Brand Champions in WWE history!"

Jericho's bragging gets interrupted by Smackdown General Manager Theodore Long! Teddy walks out onto the stage to make an announcement.

Long: "Well playas, it sure is good to have the Unified Tag Team Champions on Smackdown. And since you're already here tonight, I have an announcement for ya. There is going to be a change to the tag team title match at BRAGGING RIGHTS."

Jericho turns to The Big Show and asks his partner what's going on?

Long: "So far, we got a team from ECW, and we a team comprised of The Big Show from Raw, and Chris Jericho from right here on Smackdown. Well, me and Mr. McMahon put our heads together and decided that there should be a third team in that title match. A team that is part-Smackdown, and part-ECW. A team that are former Tag Team Champions. A team that some people call...The World's Greatest Tag Team!"

Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas step onto the Smackdown stage! Chris Jericho is steaming mad and The Big Show snarls as Haas and Bejamin shake hands with Theodore Long!

Later in the show...

wwe.com has an article up on the General Manager of Raw. The article re-caps Eric Bischoff, Steve Austin and Stephanie McMahon's times as General Manager, as well as the run of 'Guest Hosts'. The article also quotes Mr. McMahon on the subject of a General Manager for Raw.

"Both myself and the Board Of Directors recognise the need for a General Manager on Monday Night Raw. If you view The Rise And Fall Of WCW DVD, it's easy to see what happens when the inmates start running the asylum. I'm consulting with the Board Of Directors to make the best possible business decision for Raw."

The website also reported that a landmark deal has been struck between ECW, Raw and Smackdown. According to wwe.com, every edition of Monday Night Raw and Friday Night Smackdown will now feature an ECW Export Match, showcasing a match between Superstars from the ECW roster. This deal will allow ECW to reach a larger audience twice a week.

Look out for the first ECW Export Match this Monday night on Raw.

The hype for the ppv has been pretty good thus far. You should add in some crowd reactions. The annoucement of the Worlds Greatest tag team seemed like they would faces. With Teddy annoucing them and there already being 2 heel tag teams in the match. But since you're started your btb from where WWE was, then Teddy would be a heel. So I was confused about that.

Monday Night Raw Preview

In seven days time the WWE will explode in the first ever Tri-Brand competition, BRAGGING RIGHTS! Last week World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk and WWE Champion John Cena, traded blows on both Raw and Smackdown! This Monday night, ECW Champion Christian will be in attendence and he has promised to deliver a message to his opponents at BRAGGING RIGHTS!

This week's Raw will also play host to the very first ECW Xport Match as Yoshi Tatsu and Sheamus go one-on-one to try and convince the WWE Universe to vote for them in the upcoming Double Jeapordy Match Sunday night!

After last week's miscommunication in tag team action between MVP and Primo, the two men will look to settle their difference inside the ring. And the question the WWE Universe is asking; will Legacy play a role?

Four weeks ago the WWE Divas Champion Mickie James suffered a devastating injury at the hands of unhinged Raw Superstar Chris Masters. Monday night Mickie will return from injury to host her own talk-show All The Right Moves.

And Raw's main event will see WWE Champion John Cena face off against Chavo Guerrero.

I like this. I agree with you about the pages of detail. I think that Be The Booker means more making up angles then who can write a match better than whom.

I'm currently, reading the first show, and I love the opening angle with Cena and the Unified Tag Champs.

I'll have a full review up soon.
