Compassion to others will only make this community better. It's like Asda, they show you why they're better than Tesco in terms of discounts, go look an advert up.

To make a community you need to show why you're better than others. In this case offering discussion thread to the community in advanced is a better idea as it builds up to the event, there's nothing wrong with it. Yes, it maybe early but is there such harm to discuss the event 3 days prior or something? No it's not. Look at other weeks discussion threads, the discussions start for next week straight after the show. You don't know the logical term of this and don't acknowledge it.
