If Cole doesn't want to commentate out of respect for his friend how come Striker, and Mathews cant' commentate? I hate them both but hell. 30 minutes without commentary?

I think it's just WWE as a whole not having commentators out of respect for Lawler. All of them are close friends probably too.

It's the best of a bad situation unfortunately. We can't expect commentators to do their roles -- which are tough roles -- in situations like this, we know Jerry Lawler is in a critical state so we can't buy into kayfabe commentary.
