It's not like a fan page. Essentially, FB gives the business/organization full access to your profile. Hence, why they saw my friends statuses. They literally give everything what you do, some stuff you can't get from a simply Google search.
I don't care much for my privacy either. Hell, if you google my real name AND Lady Deathbane, the full first two pages of web results AND pictures are all related to me. I'm with you on the privacy thing, but I'm just saying some people care and shouldn't have a social networking system do that behind their backs. Also, I just prefer the people, the posts, the memes, etc. from Tumblr. It just all comes down to preference. My news feed is just friends posting about the FB games they play. shitty memes, family constantly reminding everyone how faithful they are to God and just shit that is just stupid and doesn't interest me. That's it. Facebook has its moments sometimes, I'll admit, but Tumblr has more. It just matches my personality and humor more.
