Problem is the promo makes sense. Stephanie makes sense, even Cena made some sense. The problem is it makes Bryan comes off as some soft ass douche who can't fight his own battles and is disrespecting the title and holders before it. It would make more sense if Daniel was a heel, since faces give it up when they can't go (think Dave back in the day)
You TOTALLY missed the damn point.

Cena's point was that Bryan deserves to be champion. Every step of the way he fought to win to have it taken from him, he fought to win to have it taken from him, he FOUGHT TO WIN to have it TAKEN from him. He doesn't have a fractured neck or a surgery that SHOULD keep him out for up to a year... it's a surgery that was meant to relieve some of the numbness and pain he has been experiencing and he SHOULD be back within a few months.

Steph messed up when she said Bryan isn't a fighting champion... he hasn't had much of an opportunity, because he fought through his injury in order to get his title, not got injured one night AFTER he won it.

I don't know that I agree with Bryan keeping the belt anymore if he is not able to compete at MITB... but you're way off about so much. How does Bryan come off as a soft ass douche who can't fight his own battles? He just went through 8 months of fighting SINGLE-HANDED in multiple matches a night, oftentimes having a handicap match in there... with nobody watching his back (except Punk for like 2 weeks). The whole point of this is that if Bryan is going to lose the strap, he DESERVES TO LOSE IT, not have it stripped or taken from him by The Authority.

LOL Bryan's a fighting champion?

He took his first two weeks off as champion. Defended the title once......Bret Hart wouldn't have took time off for personal shit, he finished his bookings when his brothers died. :hm:

Bryan's first shot came because Cena gave it to him. His return matches for the title after losing while chasing Orton ever step came after Cena went off script at TLC build up to promote him. He lost vs bray. He lost vs the shield, won some too, but still. Then he finally won it all after politicking his way into a mania match. Then proceeded to skip weeks for a wedding and funeral (last one is a valid excuse). Now he can't even defend it and its been over a month.

Rather you want to ignore it or not, Cenas always fighting his battles and being his voice. And Bryan's not defended the title like a fighting champ or been on raw faithfully at all sic e he won it all. Yet Bryan doesn't want to give it up, which makes him come off as soft and a douche putting himself over the title which any other respectable champion would give up if they can't defend it.

Still not sure why NOBODY can't fathom a guy going to bat for his girlfriends brother in law. Like that never happens.

I can understand how people are frustrated with Bryan not being a "fighting champion" at the moment. As much as I am stoked that Bryan finally has the title for more than a day and I want him to keep it for a while; it still sucks that he's had so many circumstances that have kept him away from the show since winning the title at Mania. As much as I want him to keep the title, I think it would have been smart to have stripped him of the Title when they first learned about his neck injury to gain some of the sympathy he began to lose during his feud with Kane.

At the same time, I think it's interesting that the title is in this current state of flux and the possibility of a new champion being decided in the Money in the Bank match (if Bryan can't compete) brings something new to the table for the PPV and match that is very well needed. If Bryan ends up being cleared for the PPV then I hope his match with Kane is the last one between the two with this feud. Either way it'll be interesting to see how this all plays out over the next month or so...

Name one champion who didn't show up the first show after winning the biggest title in the business for a vacation? Take that shit on the weekend ffs, even Miz waited until he had down time.

Yeah I think it was just poor planning on the part of Brie and Bryan. Didn't they make those plans WAY before WM season was even in progress? They probably didn't expect the WrestleMania plans to end up the way they did when planning the wedding... but not denying it was a poor decision on their end as either way they should have known that the month before and after Mania would be a busy time for them.

You DO know that WWE in large-part helped organize the entire thing, correct? Right on down to the timing so they could have this big airing for THEIR SCHEDULE of Total Divas...

............................if you're going to "blame" anyone for the timing of the Bryan/Brie wedding... you can throw in the entire company.

Yeah, it's the company that totally said "This is when you two schedule your honeymoon goddammit" :fp:

Because Total Divas has more precedent and has to be in sync with their taping schedule, because god forbid, they just couldn't tape that shit months in advance right? 8D

Like Bryan and Brie could've taken their honeymoon months ago right?
