Not if they do it in a whodunit way making it seem like Johnny had someone like Swagger attack Punk after Punk was done with his match but ended up being Jericho.

So like a backstage assault? I think if Jericho wins the Rumble he should come in late and have a troll way to win it then gets all serious right after the Rumble or the next night on Raw challenging Punk.

So they'll do a storyline where Ryder's out for a long time... What to do with him when he returns?

Yeah since the rumble will obviously end the show. And at this point I'm confident that Jericho will get number 30 parade around the outside of the ring while two guys whoever they are are going at it to eliminate one another and he pushes them both out.

No, almost everything in the WWE is staged. Why would there a be a block right under where Kane chokeslammed him? There was also padding there but the ref would of removed it when the camera was gone.

So a chokeslam outside a live Raw off a cement runway onto boards wasn't enough so they booked Ryder into another injury angle to put him out of his misery. It works for the Horror movie WWE is putting out here with KANE but Ryder's career looks fucked.
