WWE RAW 22nd October 2012 - LIVE Discussion

[h=2]Dropping the boom[/h]Kofi Kingston pulled off one of the year’s biggest upsets when he dethroned then–Intercontinental Champion The Miz on WWE Main Event, instigating the first championship change on WWE’s newest show. But Miz is hardly the type of Superstar to take disappointment lying down, and The Awesome One will stop at nothing to reclaim what he believes is his. With Kofi on a tear, though, will Miz be able to bounce back in time for their rematch at Hell in a Cell?

[h=2]They coulda been (the No 1.) contenders[/h]The final of the Tag Team Tournament was delayed last week due to Rey Mysterio’s illness, but The Master of the 619 will be in the house Monday night to challenge Team Rhodes Scholars with Sin Cara at his side. The resurgent tag team division has been building to an epic cap-off with the final of the Tag Tournament and the unveiling of Team Hell No’s new No. 1 contenders. Expect sparks to fly when the brainy brawlers and masked men collide with all the marbles at stake. Speaking of Team Hell No …

[h=2]Clash of the titans[/h]Lock up the kids and fragile objects, Kane and Big Show are at it again. After numerous tense encounters last week, the two giants will settle their differences in a one-on-one match this Monday on Raw. While Show and Kane are extremely familiar with each other at this point, what will happen with the added wrinkle of Daniel Bryan, who the giant has tried to make an example of as Show’s World Heavyweight Championship Match with Sheamus draws nearer? Kane’s been there to help Bryan out of trouble each time, but will the submission technician find himself in the crossfire again, or will he be the one to rescue The Big Red Monster this time around?

[h=2]Let there be rock, babaaaay[/h]Who’d have ever thought that Heath Slater, Drew McIntyre and Jinder Mahal would be making beautiful music together as — no disrespect to 3 Count — the greatest band in the history of sports-entertainment? Don’t be fooled by the peculiar feel of 3MB, either: This trio of air guitar–shredding Superstars are fighting mad, and the grouping of these three is crazy enough to work. Besides, it’s not like a supergroup is a relatively new concept in rock history. These guys could be bigger than Cream, you mark our words.

[h=2]Playing with your food[/h]It’s not exactly an exaggeration to say that Ryback has gotten into CM Punk’s head as the WWE Championship Match at Hell in a Cell approaches. But where Ryback has gotten by on pure physical prowess during his meteoric rise, might the big man take a page out of The Second City Saint’s book and attempt to gain advantage through mind games and cerebral manipulation? Punk seemed mildly nervous, to put it lightly, after Ryback put pen to paper last week at the official contract signing. If Ryback were to expound upon that, it’d give him an advantage over The Voice of the Voiceless that few Superstars have ever enjoyed. Tune into Raw at 8/7 CT on the USA Network to see what happens next!
It's the last RAW before Hell In A Cell, so lets hope they do a good job of selling it.

Discuss.

Might be on for RAW hopefully,

looking quite forward to seeing Ryback/Punk as well as the tag finals, I feel Rhodes Scholars will win.

Not a fan of Show/Kane.

Shaping up to possibly be a good show. That tag match is going to be wicked. In my opinion Kane has the ability to even make Big Show look good. Interested to see what they do with Punk/Ryback. And that Kofi/Miz stuff could be really good.

Kind of lost my momentum for Raw. Not sure what it is maybe it's the lack of stories outside the main event? I for starters feel that Ryback isn't ready and that they really have to have a screwjob type finish at Hell in a Cell. Best solution would have been Triple threat where John Cena just kind of hung back watching and CM get the cheap pin over him.

Mysterios mystery illness has him sidelined for RAW so the Tag match that's supposed to occur at the PPV will probably be ignored till they know whats going on with him.

I have no faith in WWE to actually give Kofi a proper push so while I think the matches will be great I think in the long run it'll disapoint.

McMahon is back should stay back and get further involved. He's really been helping things and doing a better job than the past 4 or 5 GMs and he's only been involved with Punk.

Really hope I'm wrong and RAW delivers but I expect them to be in cruise control mode.

Should be on for the show... Looking forward to everything mentioned above, Kofi/Miz more than anything. They work so well together in the ring and could be gold in some back and forth mic work if given the time..... I wonder if they'd have Punk pull some sneaky Heel shit and jump Ryback from behind and leave him laying or if they'll continue with the Ryback is unstoppable and Punk is worried angle

I have reasonably high hopes for this show.

Tag team tournament final should be a very good match considering the four involved and I hope that Mysterio has overcome whatever it was that kept him off the show last week.

Kofi and Miz getting some mic time will be good as talking with Miz will really help Kofi. Should set up something big for HIAC and in the short amount of time this feud has been going I have liked how they have booked it.

Ryback getting a title shot at HIAC still slightly blows my mind, look forward to the last week of build for that as well. Maybe we will hear him talk a bit?

Team Friendship are always awesome so as always I look forward to that.

I agree that some more midcard storylines would be good. Hopefully something comes happens with 3MB

RAW General Manager A.J. posted the following on Twitter, “Been called to an emergency meeting with the WWE Board of Directors at #WWE Global HQ. #Confused #RAW”

No word on whether the meeting with AJ and the board will be broadcast on RAW tonight but rumors have swirled recently that A.J. would be pulled from her role as General Manager as it has not lived up to what WWE wanted it to be.

Gonna watch it I think, first Raw since Lawler's heart attack so in the dark on the storylines.

No matter how many times I read it, I still wonder who thought 'Team Rhodes Scholars' was a good name btw.
