By Richard Trionfo on 2021-08-05 19:03:00
We have a video package for the Iron Man Match with a look back at past Iron Man matches from history.

A-Kid says he wants to inspire people in the ring, but when people like Jordan Devlin want to injure you, it gets personal. Devlin says you wanted the Iron Man match and you must have lost your mind.

After the match, Davenport picks up Brookside and hits a Falcon Arrow.

We go to the back where the NXT UK Tag Team Champions, Sam Stoker and Lewis Howley were talking to Trent Seven and Tyler Bate.

Lewis says they were so impressed and he says they would love to embarrass the fan’s best tag team. Sam says they want to introduce Tyler and Trent to the Pretty Deadly Penthouse.

Trent says they are on so let’s do Moustache Mountain versus Godwins 2K21.

Sam says it will be done on their time.

Sid Scala says the tag title match is impending, but Tyler Bate is a fighting champion. There will be eight men who will battle to determine the new number one contender to the Heritage Cup Championship. They are Mark Andrews, Noam Dar, Kenny Williams, Oliver Carter, Nathan Frazer, Teoman, Sam Gradwell, and Wolfgang.

The first round matches are Mark Andrews versus Noam Dar and Kenny Williams versus Oliver Carter on the left side of the brackets, and Wolfgang versus Sam Gradwell and Teoman versus Nathan Frazer on the right side.

We go to commercial.

We are back with Isla Dawn in the woods. She finds a box and opens it. She puts a watch in the box and buries it before leaving.

We go to Amale in the back and she is preparing for a photo shoot, but Nina Samuels comes into the room and yells at Amale. Nina says that Amale thinks she is so important because she had one title shot and that should have been her title shot.

They argue and have to be separated by officials.

The first Number One Contender Match for the Heritage Cup Title will feature Noam Dar versus Mark Andrews.

We go to commercial.

We are back with a video package for Aoife Valkyrie. She tells Jinny she had the chance to take her on one on one. Now she will make sure it is one on one. You won’t have your little canary giving you signs of danger before it strikes. You said that I would not survive, but eventually everyone feeds the birds.

Stevie Turner is in the Performance Centre and she goes to the ring where Meiko Satomura is training. She tells Meiko that she can’t teach either of the people in the ring with her enough to beat her and Stevie says that she does not think that Meiko can beat her.

I know, no one else will find this funny, but I do find it funny they used the current Russian flag for Ilja and yet his theme song is a Soviet War Pride song, lol. Either way, I am looking forward towards their match

Moustache Mountain to challenge Pretty Deadly, Satomura to defend against Turner on NXT UK
A thrilling edition of NXT UK is set to feature a pair of highly anticipated title fights, as Pretty Deadly put their NXT UK Tag Team Championship on the line against Moustache Mountain, while NXT UK Women’s Champion Meiko Satomura will be challenged by Stevie Turner.

Pretty Deadly haven’t been shy about touting their greatness since capturing the gold from Mark Coffey and Wolfgang in February, and they’ve backed up their bluster far more often than not, having retained against the likes of Flash Morgan Webster and Mark Andrews as well as Jack Starz and Nathan Frazer.

Moustache Mountain, however, is the first combination of former tag team champions to step to Lewis Howley and Sam Stoker, as they enjoyed a stint with the NXT Tag Team Titles in June 2018 and are two of the most respected and decorated competitors in NXT UK.

Tyler Bate and Trent Seven solidified themselves as contenders thanks to outlasting Primate and T-Bone in a vicious fight and have had several tense backstage encounters with Pretty Deadly, setting the stage for this week’s must-see main event.

Additionally, Satomura will receive a challenge from Turner, who secured a championship bout on the strength of consecutive victories against Laura Di Matteo and Aleah James.

20210819_NXTUK_MatchPrev_MeikoStevie_FC_Today--1c41344f9a95dce870a17a1b2b680a0a.jpg
The Best in the World captured the title in her second of two matches against “The Forever Champion” Kay Lee Ray and recently took down Amale to retain her championship in decisive fashion.

Will Satomura continue her already impressive reign, or will the outspoken Turner back up her words and take the championship from The Final Boss?

Plus, Saxon Huxley will battle Eddie Dennis after a bizarre exchange between himself and Symbiosis in the locker room area last week, while Dani Luna will tangle with Isla Dawn.

Don’t miss an amazing episode of NXT UK, streaming at 3 ET/8 BST on Peacock in the United States and WWE Network everywhere else

Fucking loved the women's title match tonight. I believe Meiko could have the proverbial 3 star match with a broom but Stevie Turner looked fucking fantastic against her, great showing. Tag match main event was going great too until the shitty finish but if pretty Deadly was going to retain I would have been disappointed no matter what they did :lol really wanted triple crown Bate lmaooo middle two matches I was pretty meh on, not big on Dennis or the new stuff they're doing doing Dawn. She can be into Wiccan stuff without losing her matches by looking dumb bc of it lmao

LONDON, UK & STAMFORD, Conn., August 19, 2021
– WWE and Enfield Town Football Club today announced a one-year agreement that will see a first-of-its-kind partnership spanning the 2021/22 football season in the UK.

Enfield Town Football Club, known to supporters of The Pitching In Isthmian Football League Premier Division as ‘The Towners’, will officially don the NXT UK® crest on their matchday shirts, starting with their first league home fixture against Brightlingsea Regent on Saturday, August 21, 2021. Enfield Town Football Club’s radical reputation within the football landscape was forged when in 2001 they became the first supporter-owned football club in the country – a move then widely adopted across the UK.

The 2021/22 Enfield Town Football Club 20TH Anniversary Home shirts were first revealed online by EVP, Global Talent Strategy & Development, Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque, in a video which can be seen here.

“The launch of WWE’s UK Performance Center in 2019 saw the roots of NXT UK firmly grounded in Enfield and through this partnership we are thrilled to continue supporting the Enfield community,” said Michael Levin, WWE Vice President, International. “Enfield Town FC and WWE share an intrinsic value of putting fans at the heart of everything we do, a vision of supporting the next generation of talent in sport and entertainment, and a goal of putting smiles on the faces of our fans.”

Paul Reed, Chairman at Enfield Town Football Club, said: “For a fan-owned club committed to delivering a sense of community and entertainment to the local area, to have a partner with the magnitude and ethos of WWE is truly special. Our vision is one of inclusivity and equality for all and to be a social centre for Enfield, and we welcome NXT UK as part of the family in our 20th Anniversary year.”

The NXT UK crest will appear on both the First Team’s Home shirts and the Women’s Reserve Team Home shirts, a fitting way to mark Enfield Town Football Club’s 20th Anniversary this year. NXT UK will also be visible in branding around the Queen Elizabeth II Stadium, various digital club properties, and in community events planned to take place throughout the season.

NXT UK showcases the brightest stars of WWE's United Kingdom division including WALTER, Ilja Dragunov, Meiko Satomura, Trent Seven, and the youngest singles champion in WWE history, Tyler Bate. NXT UK also launched the WWE careers of former Raw Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley, SmackDown’s Toni Storm, plus NXT’s Pete Dunne and tag team Grizzled Young Veterans.

Weekly episodes of NXT UK air every Thursday at 8pm BST on WWE Network, repeated Friday at 10pm BST on BT Sport.

SummerSlam airs live from Las Vegas this Saturday, August 21, on Peacock in the United States and WWE Network everywhere else.

For further information visit www.etfc.london.
