WWE NXT & Superstars Thread

Did anybody watch Tensai vs Kidd on Superstars? Supposedly Tensai worked a more aggressive style, didn't robe up and got in some sort of altercation with Sakamoto or whatever he's called.

Dark Match
Dean Ambrose defeated Alex Riley. Ambrose won with a very animated DDT. He got good heat from the crowd too.
WWE Superstars Taping
WWE Tag Champions R-Truth and Kofi Kingston defeated JTG and Michael McGillicutty. Truth pinned JTG.
Zack Ryder defeated Heath Slater. Ryder won with the Rough Ryder. Pretty good crowd thus far.

NXT

Jinder Mahal defeated Derrick Bateman via submission with the camel clutch. * Percy Watson defeated Heath Slater.
* Maxine defeated Alicia Fox via submission.
* The Great Khali and Ezekiel Jackson defeated Johnny Curtis and Drew McIntyre

Antonio Cesaro vs. Tyson Kidd should be a really good match, will have to check it out. Bit disappointing that the tag team champions got dumped to Superstars but hopefully it is for just one week. JTG and McGillicutty must be one of the most random pairings in recent years.

Drew McIntyre on NXT god that's such an insult. So much for his apparent push.

Just catching up on a few NXT and Superstars matches from the past 2 weeks.

Kaitlyn/Maxine was fun enough for what it was. Kaitlyn finished with a nice looking submission move for a Diva. Still think she could be the face of the division for years to come if they keep training her hard.

Batemen/Kidd/McGilli was a really fun triple threat that went around 10 minutes. Definitley worth a watch if you get the time.

Cesaro/Kidd from Superstars went around 7 minutes and was a really good match. Largely dominated by Cesaro but a late flurry of nice spots by Tyson but a great finish to the match with the massive uppercut and whatever you call his finisher. Antonio also debuted some new sweet Red trunks which makes him stand out more than the standard black ones and ties in nicely with his Swiss roots.

Tensai/Kidd intrigued me because I thought it might have got around the same time Cesaro/Kidd got and would have been good with Tyson's bumping ability but it only went around 3 minutes with the routine squash we saw in Tensai's first couple of matches, minus the mist.

* Beth Phoenix defeated Alicia Fox. Alicia hit a sweet suplex, Beth won with a Glam Slam for the pinfall.
* Tensai defeated Alex Riley. Tensai completely dominated Riley in a squash match.

NXT, Airing Wednesday:
* Matt Striker and William Regal are out for commentary.
* Kaitlyn defeated Tamina Snuka.
* Tyler Reks and Curt Hawkins defeated The Usos.
* Justin Gabriel, Percy Watson and Derrick Bateman defeated Johnny Curtis, Michael McGillicutty and JTG.

No Tyson Kidd, that's a bit strange... Probably Superstars.

Very surprised Christian did Superstars this week.

Christian vs McIntyre!! Even if its only on Superstars, those guys are f'n awesome. WWE needs to calm down, I'm getting too excited to watch this.

NXT
----
Usos opened the show versus Hakwins and Reks. It was the best match of the NXT taping. It was back and forward. Usos were over, like everyone else was in this old ECW, wcw, wwf, and mid south country. They won with a nice powerslam, reverse neck breaker combo

Maxine came to ringside looking hawt as fire to do commentary. They showed her face on the screen a lot during a match between Tamina and Kailtlyn. The duo of Tamina and Kaitlyn had a meh match, very meh which saw Kaitlyn win by submission. It was disappointing as both have had good outings with Max in rent weeks, but it didn't. Look good at all watching those two try to both play power vs power.

The 6 man tag main event was fun and had solid action. Both teams, the faces in (Gabriel, Percy, and Bateman) and heels (Curtis, JTG, and Mike) played their roles well. Percy played face in peril most match. They ended the outcome on a high note with a Bateman dive on two opponents to the outside and Gabriel tornado DDT.


Superstars
----
Jinder beat Yoshi in an average match, nothing to brag about, but solid enough as there were no botches

Christian came out to an amazing pop. McIntyre came out to some heat. Those two worked a hell of a what i presume will be the main event of Superstars. It was filled with false finishes and counter wrestling. A true throwback to Christians main event showcases on ECW where he got plenty of time with young but solid opponents. They worked great as Christian won with a Killswitch and Frog Splash combo. After the match was over and cameras went off, McIntyre got a standing ovation as he got up from the crowd for his hard work.

I just realised that Gabriel's finally back.

Team him up with Kidd already!

Good to see Gabriel back from injury, would be nice seeing him teaming with Kidd again. Christian on Superstars is a bit strange considering he just won the title but the match with McIntyre should be really good. The Uso's really can't buy a win on any show can they.

McIntyre standing obviation is awesome, good to hear about the reports. Also happy to hear Christian get a big pop. I'm trying to do the best I can to hide my mark-ism.
