The Maverick story was great television and Maverick proved his talent is far beyond what WWE have used him for thus far.
Sadly, I also look at all the people who actually did lose their jobs with WWE and it taints the whole thing for me from a personal perspective. Did they ever release Drake? Was it a work from the start? Or did they just decide to bring him back after his emotional social media post? Or was it some point after that when they saw the fan support for him? Honestly, regardless of which of those is the case, it doesn't sit well with me. Either WWE exploited their very real releases of dozens of people during a pandemic for this storyline, or they basically gave this thing to Drake out of pity, possibly both. Ehhh.

Recent theory is that only one guy is gonna be showing up in Impact, which is whoever the person is who was watching the news in the promo. Which I guess really makes sense tbh.I agree, personally I think he got the job back fairly soon after the social media post but I really wouldn't be surprised in any scenario. That just felt the most logical to me.
Also that's one example of a lie in that Impact promo, wonder how many more
Highlight for me was Santana Garrett wearing freaking ORANGE and winning!! I know, it was Aliyah but it still counts!
The triple threat tag team match was my favorite match of the episode.
Good episode. Good videos for the NXT Mens and Womens Championship matches. I'm just glad that Maverick still has a job in WWE regardless of what their original intentions were with him.
