WWE Interested In Another Top Japanese Star

Dale

- WWE is said to be interested in current IWGP Jr. Champion Kota Ibushi, who is considered by some to be the best high-flyer in wrestling. Last year Ibushi became the first Japanese wrestler to sign a dual contract where he's a regular with the DDT promotion but works big shows for New Japan Pro Wrestling.
Can't be no surprise that the WWE is looking into Japanese based guys ready for the Network expansion.

Anyone know of him?

I've heard of him, but mainly just what the article says. He's supposed to be a great high flyer, but I've never really seen him.

Triple H pursuing high flyers scares the piss outta me after Sin Cara.

At least it can't be much worse right?

I still say that Cara was a good signing though, it's easy to shit on it in hindsight because it turned out so bad, but the guy was still the biggest star in Mexico, and good for Trips to be able to sign him. Just a shame it was handled poorly and he didn't live up to the hype.

Original Sin Cara could've worked out if the guy wasn't such a mark for himself and bypassed developmental to get used to the 20x20 ring and real rope instead of cable. Probably wouldn't have hurt himself and became so gunshy after that. That and Trips should've asked around and learned that the guy had a massive ego in CMLL.

Well WWE has a good reputation when it comes to handling Japanese talents so... Good luck to that guy.

Every major American promotion have good reputations on Japanese talent tbh. Lets face it, you don't speak English, spit mist or play a stereotype you ain't getting over in 'Murica.

Really great wrestler. Not only is he a fantastic high flyer but he can work a lot of different matches as well, as he's shown against Kazuchika Okada and Tomohiro Ishii this year, which were pretty hard hitting (Ishii's especially) and filled with really good storytelling as well.

If WWE let him do his shit I see no reason why he couldn't become over with the crowd. That's all high flyers ever really need anyway.
