WWE Home Video has Ended

Well it’s the end of an era. As we continue to expand into the age of streaming, the need for physical media declines and another domino has fallen as WWE just released their final DVD. That would be Survivor Series 2023. Following this, there will be no more WWE Home Video. Pour one out.

To commemorate this, what are some WWE home videos that you guys have/had that you look fondly on?

I never had many DVDs but when I was little I had a ton of the VHS tapes. The one I watched the most was probably the TLC one which was funny enough made before the first actual TLC match. It was about the Hardys/Dudley's/E&C with the big finale being the triangle ladder match at WrestleMania 2000

I also had a stone cold one I watched a lot, included the Pillman's got a gun segment and the WrestleMania 13 match against Bret.

The DVDs I had that I watched a lot were the Ric Flair and Eddie Guerrero collections released around 2005/2006

The amount of times I used to watch this was unreal :bosque

I had that big ass collection of WrestleMania DVDs, it had like the first 22 WrestleMania’s. That was awesome to own back in the day. Had an Eddie DVD, Owen DVD, Macho Man, Dusty Rhodes, and so so many others at one point. Was pretty proud of my collection. Hate I lost them all lol. There’s a video somewhere if I care to find it, where I show off what it was at one point, and it grew after that. Maybe I’ll look for it later.

As for me, the funny thing is I still have all of mine. They obviously just sit there lol but I don’t wanna part with them yet. I have A LOT. like I’d probably say that in 2013 or so I had like 75-80% of all WWE dvds ever made but that number has dropped because I stopped collecting them after 2014 and the network came out. (I’m the reason they stopped making them :lol ). Some of the ones I have are still unopened.

But yeah back in the day getting a new WWE DVD was the shit. Even earlier than that I did have VHS tapes as well - mostly of the early Wrestlemanias. I watched Wrestlemania 1 and 2 so many fucking times on VHS. I remember Hulk Hogan beating the shit out of King Kong Bundy in a cage and being like yeah this is awesome.

I used to have a lot of DVD. I think I had WM17-24 on DVD. Along with Documentaries of CM Punk, Randy Orton, Undertaker, the Shawn Michaels/Bret Hart Rivalry one.

But with physical media becoming less and less important, this was obvious.

I wish I still had my hard copies because those may become valuable at some point

As an avid blu ray collector, I hate seeing stuff like this. I know Disney recently decided to stop releasing physical copies in Australia for example.
What people need to understand is that streaming platforms not only switch their catalogs all the time but they can also decide to delete stuff you've actually bought online (Sony did it recently on their store).
There will never be anything safer than a good old physical collection.

So sad to see. I'll forever treasure my copies of Edge's first DVD, Eddie Guerrero's, History of the WWE and History of the IC Title DVD's aswell.

I still have my WWE DVDS mere inches away from away from me in the 3 Row Rack/Container I have together along with my other Movies, and TV Sets. For ages I looked for the From the Vault: The Shawn Michaels DVD that came out in 02 or 03 and I found it at my Wal-Mart near me in 2008 or 2009 man I miss those days. The last two DVDs I purchased involving Wrestling was the Daniel Bryan one WWE did as well as the Owen Hart Tribute DVD on his Career whatever Year that was. Trust me all my DVDs got love put into them especially the first Flair DVD that I probably watched 30 or 40 times and had to tape up it to keep it together :lol

Separate Mania DVDs one by one or did you buy like I did the Wrestlemania Anthology Complete Set that had WM 1-21?

I got mines in 2011 or 2012 just before I joined WC and I got mines for a steal for 80 Bucks.

I remember having a John Cena dvd that didn't even have any matches on it, just all of his rap battles.
