Re: WWE Tidbits & Rumours Thread

Very true, WCW had so many young guys that could have blown up if given the chance, but WWE just acquired a few contracts and did away with them as time went on. Bischoff has always been a man that can make money, it's a shame that he couldn't have taken WCW over fully and turned it around before the ship hit the iceberg.
Indeed. Bischoff knew how to tighten a budget.

If he got WCW all to himself but was allowed to keep WCW programming on TNT/TBS, who knows where it would be.

Alright back to boring WWE.

Some random tidbits that may be of interest.

-WWE AXXESS tickets will go on sale on January 28.

-WWE is bringing back Fatal Four Way as a PPV for June, moving Bragging Rights to December. There are currently no plans for a TLC PPV in 2012.

PWinsider

Not really enthused over the return of Fatal Four Way tbh.

A Fatal Four Way is just a match that should be made when there's too many guys that earned or are demanding a match for the world title, a rare treat. It's the stupidest of all the gimmick match PPV's honestly, we should be allowed one any time not just one PPV. With all the gimmick PPV's it's like WWE just lays it's plans out in front of us honestly. Like if Punk & Miz are feuding in whatever month HIAC is we know that they're going to have one, it's just lame... but yeah, I guess we should've gotten used to the other gimmick PPV's by now but Fatal 4 Way just comes off as the dumbest one to me.

An idea brought up for Chris Hero’s first official feud while in developmental is for him to face-off with his former tag team partner from Ring of Honor, Antonio Cesaro.

The storyline would be that Hero is pissed at Cesaro because he left him high and dry in the minor leagues while he scratched and clawed his way to make it to the big time.

The feeling internally is that although they would start out as singles competitors in developmental, they will eventually reunite as a tag team and be called up to the main roster to feud over the WWE Tag Team Championships with whomever are the champions at that time.

I just got a boner, I think.

So Hero comes up and gets to look awesome against a guy he's comfortable with from the get go? Awesome.

Although not for nothing, I'm doubtful since I doubt FCW have anything resembling young term angle plans. When your talent could get called up at any moment, the booking is likely show to show.

Former WWE star Lance Storm weighed on recent reports that suggest there are some disgruntled wrestlers backstage in WWE over the return of The Rock and how he has stolen the WrestleMania spotlight. Storm told haters to "shut up" and added, "I got bumped off Mania 19 for Miller Light Girls anyone bitching about getting bumped down the card 4 THE ROCK needs to Shut up."

Now this I agree with. Good point, Mr. Storm. Good point, indeed.

lol at Storm, way to bring some perspective to this.

The Rock thing bugs me anyway. Like, this is going to be one of the biggest drawing 'manias of all time and anyone on the card will benefit simply by being on it. They're going to get bigger paydays, more exposure, possibly one of the biggest nights of their careers, and The Rock is going to be partially responsible for that.

This may be more of a slight on creative, but if any of the current generation besides Cena were even close to the Rock's drawing ability WWE wouldn't have to ask him back.

It's weird to think it was in WCW he got his strongest push. That's pretty much the opposite of every other young wrestler from that era, haha.

I am annoyed by the whole Rock thing anyway. The buildup is not even close to reaching the hype. I just have a feeling that this will be a dull mania compared to last year when he was just a guest star and did the run in on Miz and Cena.

Last year's 'Mania was pretty dull too. TNA Lockdown was better.
