I remember asking about this a couple months ago because I had a feeling Cody wasn’t gonna win the championship and then move to smackdown. Most likely they’re going to move Drew McDonald to smackdown.
At least for now they reference that Nick or Adam say something like "I invited you here" etc. And a wrestler not officially inivted shows up through the crowd or something.
Doing a better job of keeping up the pretence than in other drafts.

I think it’s fine to have wrestlers occasionally show up on the other show to do a pre-tape or to do a run-in just don’t book people from the other show in matches.

They never deactivated either championship. Fuck a brand split. Do like AEW did where some folks are on one show over the other more often, but they can still show up on either one. You just have one you’re on more often
Yeah, I’ve never really liked the concept of the belt nor do I like naming in the world championship again but with the women’s title a replica of it it makes it more complicated what they’re gonna do.
I think they just deactivate the Universal when Cody wins bc the only reason they haven't yet is bc that's the title Roman's long reign started with so they have to wait until he loses and gets the max days as a stat. And obviously the alternative would have been retiring the 60+ year history WWE title which was never gonna happen so that's why we still have both lineages rn
Yeah. My concept has always been never book someone in a match on both shows, but they can appear in segments on both shows.
That’s kinda what they do now. Cody/Roman been all over the opposing shows
You know once upon a time I would’ve thought they were never gonna retire that belt, but they’ve seemingly retired every other belt they had with history. Think about it. The original tag, women’s are all dead in lieu of brand new belts, and they seem to love that universal word so it could go either way, but I think you’re right.
