World Wrestling Entertainment has allowed the contracts of Dean Ambrose and Goldust to expire and effective immediately. It is thought that both men have plans of turning up in AEW and while the company is sad that the two talents are leaving it is happy for them.

Due to their unprofessional behavior several superstars have been released from their contracts effective immediately. Jaxon Ryker, Joe Coffey, Jack Gallagher, Jordan Devlin, Wolfgang, Ligero, Mark Coffey, Matt Riddle, The Brian Kendrick, The Velveteen Dream and Lars Sullivan.

The show opened with a tag team match with the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships up for grabs between the Boss & Hug Co(c) and the Riot Squad represented by Ruby Riot and Liv Morgan. In the end Riot hit Running Riot on Sasha Banks for the pin.

Riot and Morgan shockingly turned on Sarah Logan and beat her down.

The duo of Killian Dain & Alexander Wolfe representing SaNiTy with Nikki Cross & Eric Young in their corner dominated for the majority of the match. However the ending of the match saw Zack Ryder hit the Rough Ryder on Wolfe for the pin while Heath Slater & Rhyno came out and distracted Dain, Young and Cross.

Alexa Bliss accompanied by Deonna Purrazzo & Lacy Evans cornered WWE RAW & WWE SD Women’s Champion Becky Lynch and attacked her until the duo of Mickie James & Ember Moon made the save. RAW GM Kurt Angle came running up and while a ref checked on Lynch he then made the announcement of a six woman tag team match between the trios.

Bliss got the win for her team by rolling up a distracted Lynch who was focused on the quartet of James, Moon, Bliss and Evans brawling at ringside.

Gable dominated early on by out wrestling the hype man of Bobby Lashley. However that changed when Lashley distracted the ref and this allowed Rush to hit a low blow on Gable and then he climbed up to the top rope. From here Rush attempted and hit a Frog Splash for the pin.

Post-Match
Lashley entered the ring and beat Gable down and told him this was all because he stuck his nose in where it didn’t belong. WWE IC Champion Finn Balor made the save and cleared the ring of Lashley and Rush.

Back from break and Finn Balor attempted to defend his WWE IC Championship against the duo of challengers Buddy Murphy and Noam Dar in a triple threat match. The conclusion of the match saw Murphy hit Murphy’s Law on Dar to lay him out but when he attempted the pin.Balor dragged him up and hit Bloody Sunday on Murphy onto Dar and then pinned Dar.

Bobby Lashley & Lio Rush came out and beat on Balor with Lashley stating he still wanted his one on one rematch for the title. Chad Gable came out and repaid the favor and saved Balor and cleared the ring of Lashley and Rush.

AJ Styles V Aleister Black V Braun Strowman V Sami Zayn
The show closed out with a fatal four way match to crown a challenger for the WWE Universal Championship at MITB. It featured the quartet of AJ Styles, Aleister Black, Braun Strowman and Sami Zayn. Zayn and Black teamed up and backed Strowman into one of the corners and then Zayn hit a Helluva Kick on the big man. When Strowman fell out of the corner Black hit the Black Mass on him then he and Zayn were taken out by Styles thanks to a Double Phenomenal Forearm. Yet Styles would be pulled out of the ring by Jinder Mahal who laid him out with the Khallas. Black recovered first and picked Zayn up and hit the Black Mass for the pin.

Harper made it abundantly clear he didn’t care about the Miz keeping his job and did his damn best to end his opponents WWE career. In the end though Miz kept his career alive by pinning Harper after successfully hitting the Skull Crushing Finale.

SD GM Shane McMahon was confronted by Big E and Xavier Woods who were reasonably irritated but he just turned a deaf ear to them and banned them from the building. He then went on to say that Jey Uso would have to defend the WWE SD Tag Team Championships either by himself or find a partner but it couldn’t be WWE US Champion Roman Reigns since Jimmy Uso was indisposed.

Jey Uso thought he had found a savior in the random pairing with SD newcomer the renamed Chris Ohno but it was not to be. As Ohno just jumped off the apron and this distracted Uso which allowed Cesaro to roll him up with a handful of tights.

Ohno presented the titles to Cesaro & Sheamus and they accepted both them and the newcomer into their stable.

The show closed out with Kofi Kingston attempting to defend the WWE Championship against the former champion Daniel Bryan. Despite the challenger having his problem solver aka Erick Rowan in his corner it wouldn’t be enough for him to reclaim the gold. As Kingston would put him down for the count with the Trouble in Paradise.
