Billy Gunn wants US Gold!

On Saturday night Billy Gunn steps in the ring with Matt Hardy. Smackdown General Manager Stephanie McMahon announced via WWE.com that the winner of that match would get a US title match on Smackdown next Thursday Night.

WWE.com caught up with Billy Gunn and he had the following to say about the match.

Billy Gunn - "It doesn't matter who you throw in the ring with me, i have sat back to long watching others take my spotlight. If Matt hardy thinks im gonna be some kind of cake walk to the US title he has another thing coming. The Ass Man is going to be back on top and the next US Champion, Big Show next Thursday i am coming for you."

Massive Main Event

On Velocity a blockbuster main event has been announced by GM Stephanie McMahon. Rey Mysterio will go one on one with John Cena in a No Holds Barred Match. John Cena was said to have requested the contest and Mysterio agreed on the condition that the loser would be unable to compete in the number one contender fatal four way on Smackdown next week.

Venue - Bradley Center - Mileaukee, Wisconsin
Attendance - 8,341

1. Show Opening - (Michael Cole, Tazz)

Pyro goes off through the air as the Velocity theme plays over the speaker system. Michael Cole and Tazz are show behind the announce table and they welcome the veiwers from around the world tonights episode of Velocity.

Tazz - "Good evening ladies and gent's and welcome to another rocking evening on Saturday Night Velocity. Tonight we got some big matches set to take place, isn't that right Cole."

Michael Cole - "It sure is Tazz, boy i cant wait for the match between Billy Gunn and Matt Hardy. The winner of that match goes to Smackdown next Thursday with a shot at the US champion The Big Show!"

Tazz - "It don't get much bigger then that Cole, well that is unless Stephanie McMahon is running things. Tonight in our main even we will see Rey Mysterio vs John Cena in a No Holds Barred contest. And get this, the loser sits out of the number one contender match which will be against the Undertaker on Thursday Night."

Michael Cole - "All that still to come tonight on Velocity. But in just a minute we are going to kick things off in the ring. The Basham Brothers will be taking on Scotty 2 Hotty and Rikishi in a non title matchup. Stick around its going to be a wild night!"

Tazz - "Before that i am getting word from the production crew that Kevin Kelly is backstage with Matt Hardy who is going to respond to Billy Gunn's comments on WWE.com the other day, turn the volume up because this is gonna get good!"

2. Backstage Interview - (Matt Hardy, Kevin Kelly)

Kevin Kelly - "Excuse me Mr. Hardy as i understand it you have a few choice words for Billy Gunn regarding your match with him this evening. A match in which the winner will advance to Smackdown and recieve a US title match against The Big Show."

Matt Hardy - "You know Kevin Billy Gunn at one time was a force who few could stand up to. I mean he is a multi time tag team champion just like myself. He has also been Intercontinental and Hardcore champ. And to top it all of he won a King of The Ring tournement. But what has he done lately. Last time Billy Gunn was relavent was when he was carrying Triple H's bags as a member of DX. So tonight there is no reason to think Billy Gunn is going to have any sort of career revival. Because lets face it, he is in the ring with Mattitude V1. And their is not a damn thing he can do to stop me!"

Hardy shoves past Kelly and heads into his dressing room as Velocity cuts to commercial break.

4. Backstage Segment - (John Cena, Billy Gunn)

Billy Gunn is shown walking backstage and gets a pop from the crowd. As he turns the corner and heads for the ring John Cena steps in from of him and cuts him off.

John Cena - "Yo chump its the ass man, hell a guy with a name like that could get just about anyone in bed that he wants to. Oh even Chuck Palumbo, isn't that right G."

Billy Gunn - "Real funny coming from a guy who walks around dressed like hes from the hood. But everyone really knows when it comes to you Cena, your soft as a sack of feathers. Now im headed to the ring to earn a US title shot, thats something your not all to familiar with so step aside and leave it to a pro."

John Cena - "Ya know Stephanie really should thank me for taking pops out here tonight. Billy Gunn is just like Matt Hardy said, yesterdays news. Now knowing Billy Gunn and all you sorry ass people in this building will have Gunn wanting revenge. So to Billy i say if you want to do something about it you know where i am every Thursday and Saturday night so come and see me."

Rey Mysterio's music hits and out from under the stage he springs into action and rushes down the ramp into the ring and begins to throw several punches Cena's way as the bell sound to start the match.

7. Match 3 - John Cena vs Rey Mysterio

8. In Ring Segment - (Stephanie McMahon, John Cena, Rey Mysterio)

Cena celebrates his win in the ring but it is short lived as the Smackdown GM's music hits. Stephanie makes her way out onto the stage to a huge pop and addresses Cena.

Stephanie McMahon - "You know John i have to admit that was a pretty impressive win here tonight. You destroyed Rey just like you said, but what i don't like is your complete lack of respect for other superstars John. You had no place sticking your nose into Billy Gunn's match. And i am going to tell you right now that will no go unpunished. So next week even though you won here tonight, Rey Mysterio if able to compete will be a part of the match to determine the # 1 contender to the WWE champion."

John Cena - "You got to be kidding me, Rey and Gunn got took out because one is a hasbeen and Rey don't have the balls to stand with these men."

Stephanie McMahon - "That may be so John, but you don't make the rules around here i do. And what that means is i am also going to give Billy Gunn a chance for some revenge on you. At a date to be announced you will go one on one in a match with Billy Gunn. A match where he will chose the stipulation. Have a good night John, when Smackdown rolls around next week you will be the target of two men while you try to get your first WWE title shot!"

Cena throws down the mic and paces around in the ring pissed at what Stephanie has said as Velocity comes to a close.

I thought the show was okay, don't like how it is only a 3 match show, it could be longer.

It had just the three matches because it was Velocity which was a one hour show. When i get to Smackdown and Raw the shows will be much longer and detailed. Thanks for taking a look, always appreciate readers/reviews!

In spirit of that event GM Bischoff announced that a hardcore triple threat would take place on Sunday Night Heat. Tommy Dreamer, Spike Dudley and Test were the named contenders. As Evolution member Randy Orton begins to climb the WWE ladder under the watchfull eye of Triple H he begins to become more confident in his abilities. Orton said he was going to Sunday Night Heat with the intention to challenge a former champion in Booker T. I'll be following this buddy, like the look and idea of it. Surprised at a few of the releases, but I'm sure you've got your reasons. Velocity wasn't to bad at all, you gave it more meaning that WWE ever did by having a Number 1 Contenders match for the World Title, that was a bit of a surprise. Can't wait to see how you continue bro!

WWE Monday Night Raw Preview

Booker and Dudley' chance for revenge, GM for Heat?

Eric Bischoff stated that after the events of last nights Heat he has decided to make some changes. First being that the Tag Team Championship match will be moved to the next week's Raw. Instead The Dudley's and Booker T would face Evolution's Flair, Orton and Batista in a big Six Man Tag Match. Bischoff also stated that because how out of control Heat was next week he would be their to appoint someone with the power to oversee that show.

The Game and Nash have issues to resolve

Triple H said this of Kevin Nash on Friday night when writers at WWE.com caught up with him.

Triple H - "Me and Nash haven't seen in a straight line in some time but i am willing to put that all behind us if Nash will just hear me out. We have some real promising momentum building in Evolution and if Nash were to get on board with that their would be no stopping us."

Triple H was also quoted saying his seeking a reunion with Nash has nothing to do with World Heavyweight Champion Goldberg and he can take Bill out any time he wants.

Rob Van Dam to confront The Big Red Monster

Last week after a brutal attack from Kane on Goldust, Rob Van Dam is going to be seeking answers from the twisted monster. Rob said he and Kane once had a close bond and if anyone could get him out of this funk it would be him. When general manager Bischoff was told about the Rob's plan he said he wouldn't be held responsible for Kanes Actions.
