Got a couple of great shows I've been watching, mostly Dimension 20, which if anyone hasn't seen them, they're DnD shows that are run by CollegeHumor and mostly hosted by Brennan Lee Mulligan. They're absolutely worth a watch if you're interested. Here's the three I've been watching this month:

794146b0-1b13-452c-9ec7-9b63b51c41cd-f5baac3c.jpg

Based on the comic series by Elaine Lee (who happens to be BLM's mother), this is a more comedic series using Star Wars 5E rather than traditional DnD 5E. Follow a bunch of outcasts and losers as they travel through space on a fucking hot-dog-looking spaceship and get into all kinds of whacky hijinks... like starting their own casino inside the ship, or getting into a shootout in every place they stop. :lol

971de6ef-e633-4d6f-bc6c-df75f5125c83.jpg

Imagine all those little fairy tales you heard as a child. In their world, something is amiss. Darkness is overtaking the land, and life is getting worse for all these storied creatures. Join BLM and crew as they venture into a horror setting based on fantasy and fable, children's stories, and tall tales. But beware of all the terrible things that hide in the dark...

61d2e887-52ac-4aec-8185-ce4a1b753950-53a6ff55.jpg

A Game of Thrones-esque campaign built upon the Food Pyramid, where our story brings us to the Kingdom of Candia, years after a devastating global war nearly brought ruin to all nations. There are twists and turns, and in this story, there are some of the most devastating plot twists in all of Dimension 20's history. This is probably the one campaign where Brennan Lee Mulligan actively wants to kill all of his players. This is DM vs. Player done right and it's one of the most stress-inducing and macabre stories for our intrepid heroes.

24 (Season 1)

Yet to find a show that keeps me on the edge of my seat like 24 does. Fair to say it's up there still with my all-time favourite shows. Just working my way through Season 1 (again) and it's still one of the most gripping shows ever made even knowing majority of the twist & turns and reveals. Quite a lot I've forgot about too just because of the sheer quantity of episodes and time that has passed since seeing it, a lot of little things I'm enjoying/appreciating about the show a second time. Always really enjoyed Dennis Haybert in these earlier seasons, he's so good as David Palmer. Always such a throwback to see Kiefer Sutherland so young. Very 'bingeable' show too considering the time it came out and binge watching wasn't a thing. It would have been a huge hit even today I feel.

The Sopranos (Season 1)

It's pretty crazy how flawless Sopranos is even from the very first season. Just some of the best writing I've ever seen in a TV Show or Movie, or even ever maybe. It has some of the most realistic acting and dialogue, performances just feel so on point and natural. I'd say only The Wire comes close to me with nailing that sort of immersion in it, to the extent where you literally forget at times that you're not watching real people talk on screen. Loving watching this again and appreciating the character development which they pour so much effort in to. Definitely a show that only gets better on another rewatch I'd say.

Been watching this on Netflix the past week, I'm pretty pleasantly surprised by it. I was a bit skeptical at first even though it was on trending shows because I don't tend to enjoy a lot of the popular teen type shows that most of the Netflix userbase seems to enjoy. Really has to be an amazing show usually to draw me in. This though, I pretty much liked it right from the opening scene, which sets up the show's atmosphere well. Knew right then and there, it was my kind of vibe. Great direction, likeable cast and characters for the most part. Some decent scares scattered in there. I've seen quite a few 'killer' app type shows and films, this is definitely one of the best executions of the concept. Plenty enough twists and turns to keep your intrigue up also.

Anybody watched/like Person of Interest? I'm working my way through the first season and really dig this show a lot. Very entertaining premise and I'm loving the cast. Always liked Michael Emerson as an actor and Jim Caviezel is really great in this.

Finished Season 1 of Person of Interest. Already more than satisfied with the enjoyment I got from this show just from this. Such a well rounded season with lots of intrigue, good character development, very tightly paced.

Planning on starting Hannibal tomorrow. I'm really looking forward to that show, mostly to see Mads Mikkelsen portrayal of Hannibal Lecter.

Started watching this again right from the beginning of Season 1 and man this show is good af. I'm restarting because it's been a while and I want my mind to be fresh when I start Season 2, never got around to it. Also watching it in German this time, which was a good decision.

Decided to do a rewatch of Community and I think I fall more in love with the show each time I do it, I just absolutely love the chemistry between the cast

I notice I switch around a lot too with my favourite characters, although Abed is always up there

Very fascinating, I'd say it's probably the best true crime documentary I've personally watched on Netflix after Making a Murderer.

It's so well produced, it's like watching a movie almost with the quality of it. Plus the case itself just being so complex and crazy, you can hardly believe it
actually happened.

Knew about this, but I only heard the bare minimum about it so there was a lot of details I didn't know about. Finished this all in one night, just gripped by it.

Big Brother but with zombies!

I've watched this a few times now and it never fals to entertain. One thing I really like is how spot on they are with the sacritical aspects of it when it comes to reality television. Charlie Brooker always nails it. It really feels like you're watching an episode of Big Brother with some of the very first scenes. Even better is they got the actual narrator and host of the show, so it just really adds to the authenticty of it all.

I just always loved the concept of housemates not knowing about the impending doom outside the house. It's genius.

Not sure if anybody else here has seen this show The Glory, but it's well worth a watch. Especially if you're in to Korean shows. Quite some disturbing themes, but it's an incredibly engrossing series with very good performances, Song Hye-kyo in particular.

At one point, I would have considered this my favourite show ever. It still holds up really well. It really set the bar high at the time, especially with its character development which is absolutely its strongest aspect still, at least to me anyways. There's not many shows out there that have managed to make me care/be invested in so many different characters. Such a wide array of personalities, and it really is just close to being perfect in that regard.

Still a really fun show. First time watchers would still be in for a treat with all the plot twists, mystery and being able to binge it at all now.

Castle Rock is a pretty good show. I definitely recommend it if you're in to Stephen King and the universe, you should find it quite enjoyable. It's got pretty good performances across the board and a nice vibe to it. As tends to be the case, Bill Skarsgård is one of the biggest highlights with his performance.

- I'm pretty familar with this case as it's obviosuly a very hugely known unsolved case over here. Very tragic what happened to her, a lot of the footage you see of her she seemed like a really warm, lovely person with a lot of heart and very talented as a presenter.

- Very well produced documentary. I'm not a big football guy but I've always liked Beckham, even when I was growing up and of course he was one of the more recognisable names in the sport. Was fun to learn about a lot of his past and breaking in to the sport.
