Worst Gimmick Round 1d: Mexicools vs Festus

Festus gimmick just all around bad idea.

They did the "blueberry" gimmick with Eugene and unlike Festus, Eugene was at least over.

The Festus gimmick was beyond dumb and insulting especially in the modern era. The Mexicools was dumb, lazy and wasted some decent talent. But still had to go with Festus.

The explanation that Festus was hooked on drugs and CM Punk saved him was the best part about that gimmick so I voted Festus

Personally don't have much of a problem with the Mexicools even if it was as stereotypical as you can get, but most Mexicans I know own their stereotypes and are all about joking around with them better than any other race, but I did think they got really close to crossing a distasteful line at times.

In their debut the Mexicools cut a promo talking about how Americans only saw them as border jumpers that cut their lawns and shit.

It was meant to be poking fun of the stereotypes.

Mexicools were fun in a way but it felt like a waste of those three guys to stick them together and give them such a comedy gimmick when they can all wrestle their asses off.

But Festus wins this one. That was shite.

It's a sad indictment of WWE today that Festus is only the second worst waste of Luke Gallows I've ever seen.
