*Please Note* - I will be writing this diary using the wrestling simulating game Total Extreme Warfare 2005. All rosters for the WWE brand are up to date as of April 1st, along with TNA I think.

BACKSTORY: The date is April 1st, 2010. On the heels of WrestleMania 26, Vince McMahon's World Wrestling Entertainment company is feeling intense pressure from rival organization, Total Nonstop Action Wrestling(TNA). After the move of their signature primetime show "TNA Impact!" to Monday nights, the greatest moments in pro wrestling's past have been reborn as the ever intense Monday Night Wars are re-kindled. With still rather dominate ratings victories in North America, WWE looks now to Europe where TNA has taken over the reigns as head wrestling company on Monday nights. About to embark on a European houseshow/television tour, WWE finds themselves without perhaps the greatest star in the company's history, Shawn Michaels, after his retirement at the grandest stage of them all. McMahon is now in fear that his new PG-13 product, designed to attrack the younger generation of wrestling fan, will not be able to withstand too long of a war with the somewhat edgier, TNA.

In what critics are calling an extremely bold, rather stupid move. McMahon has hired a long time wrestling fan with absolutely no booking experience what so ever, but with memories and knowledge of the past Monday Night Wars and what had worked and what didn't back then, to come on board his team of writers and bookers and try to take back some of the momentum that TNA Wrestling has taken away from him. When asked about his thoughts regarding what the critics are saying, McMahon replied and I quote "I don't know why, but I have a good feeling about this. Much like the same feeling I had twenty-six years ago when I decided to create WrestleMania and the critics told me it would never work. My gut has never led me astray before, so let's just see how this turns out before you pass judgement".

With a brand new, and very green World Heavyweight champion in Jack Swagger on the companies second brand "Smackdown", and a wrestling reality type show that isn't doing much better then what McMahon's watered down ECW show had been doing on the SyFy network. WWE is scouring the wrestling world looking for fresh new talent to make into "WWE Superstars" to combat with the likes of TNA's AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Christopher Daniels and Desmond Wolfe. Only time will tell if McMahon's bold and gutsy move will either make him once again.... Or break him once and for all.

WWE RAW: Preview

LIFE AFTER HBK

WWE RAW comes to you live this Monday from the I Wireless Center in Moline, Illinois! Just seven days removed from The Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels' "heartbreaking" retirement speech, the longest running episodic television show in television history is set to go on with life, without HBK.

With Shawn Michaels forced to say his final farewell to the WWE Universe last week, "The Game" HHH tried to say his final farewell to his longtime bestfriend in what was supposed to be a heart warming moment. However that moment was taken away from the former DX stable-mates as the man who HHH defeated at WrestleMania 26, Sheamus, brutally assaulted The Game from behind before he could say his goodbyes. Sheamus undoubtably extracted some measure of revenge from being handed a loss in his first WrestleMania, and there's no question that HHH will be the one looking for revenge this week on RAW. And he will get his opportunity to do so as Sheamus and The Game will square off in RAW's mainevent in a HUGE WrestleMania re-match!

Speaking of WrestleMania re-matches. There's no doubt that "The Animal" Batista will be at RAW and so will the brand new WWE champion, John Cena. Last week, Batista demanded a re-match for the WWE title against Cena, envoking his re-match clause. However when Cena accepted, Batista turned down the opportunity. Instead he and Money In The Bank winner, Jack Swagger faced off against Cena and a partner of his choosing which turned out to be none other then Cena's long time foe, The Viper Randy Orton. The Viper will be in action this coming Monday against one of the men he faced at WrestleMania, his former Legacy stable partner Ted Dibiase with Dibiase's father and 2010 Hall of Fame Inductee The Million Dollar Man being the special referee! With the Viper occupied with other things, and Swagger now on Smackdown as the new World Heavyweight champion, what will Batista have in mind for this Monday? And when and where will this historic, much anticipated re-match take place? Perhaps this coming Monday on RAW?

With all these questions up in the air, tune in this Monday as WWE NxT Rookie, David Otunga takes the reigns as RAW's special guest host. 9 O'Clock Eastern, 5 O'Clock Pacific to find out the answers!

WWE RAW 04/05/2010

RAW opens with it's usual amazing pyro display at the entrance ramp followed by the cameras scanning the various signs in the crowd before focusing on Michael Cole and The King sitting at ringside. They talk about Shawn Michaels' emotional farewell last week and HHH being attacked by Sheamus when he went to say his goodbye's to his longtime bestfriend. They mention that HHH will be looking for his revenge tonight in the mainevent when he takes on Sheamus in a WrestleMania re-match. They also talk about Jack Swagger moving to Smackdown after winning the World Heavyweight title last week and that he will be here this week, one last time, to say goodbye to RAW. They also talk about the John Cena / Batista situation and pop up some questions about when Batista will decide to cash in his re-match clause for the WWE championship.

The opening segment starts with John Cena's music blaring over the PA as the crowd in Moline, Illinois go absolutely nuts for the WWE champ. He gets in the ring and starts to talk about Batista and how he backed out of his re-match clause last week and Cena also is wondering when The Animal will choose to face Cena again in their WrestleMania re-match. This brings out The Animal to thunderous boos from the crowd. When he goes to address Cena from a top the entrance ramp, the crowd cuts him off by chanting "You Tapped Out" repeatedly. This drives Batista nuts and he starts to yell at the fans as well as Cena saying that Cena's win was nothing but a fluke. Cena responds by saying that Batista may think it was a fluke, and maybe other people may see it that way as well, but he again reminds Batista that fluke or not, he wasn't the one tapping out at WrestleMania, The Animal was.

This is what pushes Batista over the edge as the crowd again chants "You Tapped Out". He tells Cena that he's sick of all this and says that he's taking his re-match clause RIGHT NOW! He starts to make his way to the ring as Cena gets ready for battle inside when Batista is cut short on his way to battle by the music of NxT Rookie and RAW Guest Host, David Otunga. Otunga tells both men that as thrilling as it would be to see these go square off, it's a mainevent type match not a match to open his A-List show. And besides, he's already got a mainevent scheduled for tonight and not only that, but the two can't face eachother tonight because Cena is already scheduled for a match. Batista glares up at the rookie in complete anger and shock and when Cena asks Otunga who his match is against, the NxT rookie enthusiastically replies "ME"! And to top it off, he invites Batista to ringside for their match to do color commentary and he says that he will show Batista how you defeat John Cena. Our host exits via his music as Batista and Cena engage in a staredown.

DIVA'S TAG TEAM MATCH

RAW comes back from commercials the sound of the beautiful Kelly Kelly's music hitting the PA as she is alongside Gail Kim as the two get set for a Diva's tag team match. Their opponents make their way out next to WWE Diva's champion Maryse's music and she is accompanied by her partner Alicia Fox. The match overall wasn't what you would call a "wrestling masterpiece" and with the exception of watch four beautiful women in the ring, the crowd wasn't that much into it. Maryse and Alicia dominated the whole match pretty well and cut off the ring to lay a good beat down on Gail Kim. Kelly Kelly wasn't even tagged in yet when Maryse hit her "French Kiss" DDT and went for the pinfall but at the count of two she pulled Gail up, looking to inflict more damage.

This started the ending of the match sequence where Kelly Kelly ran in to stop another French Kiss DDT which caused Maryse to chase Kelly back to her own corner. This bought Gail time however and she managed to hit her finisher on the Diva's champion and then made the tag to Kelly seconds after Maryse tagged in Fox. Kelly suprisingly looked pretty decent and really took it to Alicia who as so fed up with being beat on that she tagged in a fatigued and still somewhat hurt Diva's champion. Moments later, Kelly hit Maryse's own finisher on her and was able to score the upset victory over the champion. As Kelly and Gail celebrated in the ring, Maryse and Kelly Kelly stared eachother down.

RAW cuts to the Guest Host's office where we see Otunga sitting comfortably on a leather couch eating some green M&M's. Just then Batista storms into his office as our stands immediately stands up to great the enraged Animal. Batista tells him what nerve he had to deny Batista his shot at the title and book himself in a match tonight against Cena. Not only that but to tell him that a rookie will show The Animal how you beat Cena. He says that he has a right to face Cena for the title and he wants to tonight! Otunga calmly denies Batista's request again by saying the match is already made and it's Otunga's time tonight to be in the spotlight. However he agrees with the Animal and says that he does deserve a re-match for the title. Therefore he tells Batista that he will get his shot at the WWE championship at Extreme Rules on PPV. This makes the Animal somewhat happier and he wishes Otunga the best of luck in his match tonight and says he is looking forward to seeing how someone beats John Cena. The Animal exits.

UNIFIED TAG TEAM TITLE # 1 CONTENDER'S MATCH

RAW comes back with Evan Bourne's music starting to blare on the PA and he and Yoshi Tatsu enthusiastically make their way to the ring. At ringside, Michael Cole informs the viewers at home that this match will be between a RAW and a Smackdown team and the winners will receive a shot at Show-Miz's Unified Tag titles. Out next are their opponents, the Hart Dynasty accompanied to the ring by the gorgeous Natalya. This match was a very fast paced, exciting matchup with both teams hitting several exciting spots. This tag match was much closer to what you would call a "wrestling masterpiece" then the tag match before it. Both teams got to hit about an equal amount of offense and each competitor a chance to show off their skills.

The ending came with Smith and Bourne in the ring and Bourne soaring off the top looking for a cross-body but having David Hart Smith catch him in mid-air. Smith stumbled back a few steps because of this which allowed Tyson Kidd the chance to make the blind tag. When Smith started to move forward, Kidd springboarded off the top rope and hit their version of the Hart Foundation of old's finisher "The Heart Attack". Smith immediately charged and decked Yoshi off the ring apron while Kidd locked in the sharpshooter on Bourne causing the young high-flyer to tap out. Natalya then enters and the three celebrate being the new number one contenders.

It's now time for the "RAW Rebound" which shows footage of last week's heartbreaking farewell speech by Shawn Michaels then footage of HHH coming out earlier in the night to give his farewell to his best friend before being attacked by Sheamus using a lead pipe. The rebound ends with a shot of Sheamus standing over a beaten HHH looking down with a look of satisfaction in his eyes.

RAW then cuts to the backstage interview area where Josh Matthews introduces The Game, HHH. The Cerebral Assassin steps into camera view in his war gear and also wearing a D-X T-shirt, no doubt in honour of his retired friend. The Game cuts a very good promo, hyping tonight's mainevent against Sheamus. He says that tonight he will get his revenge for not only himself, but for robbing Shawn of hearing what HHH had to say to him. He says that tonight he will end Sheamus' enfactuation with him once and for all by beating the Celtic Warrior within an inch of his life.

We cut back to rinside where "Get On Your Knees" by Age Against the Machine starts to blare out throughout the arena as the brand new World Heavyweight champion, Jack Swagger steps out onto the stage with the World title draped over his shoulder. He is also suprisingly dressed in his in-ring wrestling attire. He makes his way to the ring where he gets on the mic and starts to brag about how he won Money in the Bank and how he cashed it in last week on Smackdown to become the new World champion. He officially announces to the RAW audience that he is now on the Smackdown brand and if they want to see the only true "superstar" on RAW then they will have to tune in on Friday nights now, instead of Monday. He tells everyone that he was the greatest star in RAW history and to prove it, he is issuing an open challenge to anyone on the RAW roster to face him in a non-title match right now. He says he will leave RAW in style, standing victorious in the ring with his arm held high.

"Just Close Your Eyes" suddenly hits and out steps Cpt. Charisma, Christian as the fans in Moline give the Canadian a pretty loud ovation. He makes his way to the ring, gets on the mic and accepts Swagger's open challenge. The World champion however just laughs at this saying that Christian can't accept the challenge because he's too far out of Swagger's league. Swagger goes on to say that he won the Money in the Bank match at WrestleMania. That he cashed in his briefcase and became World Heavyweight champion faster then any other MITB winner before him. He also reminds Christian that he is an All-Amercian-American! He then asks Christian what he has ever done to make him think that he deserves to face the World champion here tonight.

Christian goes on answer Swagger's question by reminding him that when Christian returned to the WWE, he defeated Swagger to become ECW champion. He also reminds him that he was the longest reigning ECW champion in the brand's WWE era and comments on how Swagger only held the title for a month or two and the only reason he stayed champion for that amount of time was because he was ducking real competition, just like he is now, and defending his title against real "tough" competitors like Hornswoggle. Christian then tells the World champion to nevermind, it just reminded him of Swagger's past title reign and how he probably will only be World champion for a couple weeks before coming back to RAW anyway. Christian goes to leave but Swagger is so upset that he yells into the mic that the match is on! He tosses his title to the outside and his robe as a referee slides into the ring to start the match.

NON-TITLE SINGLES MATCH

RAW comes back from commercials with Swagger dominating the match. Michael Cole tells the audience at home that Swagger has dominated the match since the start and throughout the entire commercial break. Christian did eventually go on the offensive by reversing an attempt at the Gut-Wrench Powerbomb by Swagger and hitting a DDT. The match ends when after going on the offensive for a while, Christian goes to hit the Kill Switch Engage but Swagger slides out of it and immediately exits the ring. He takes his title and starts to walk to the back, obviously having enough of his farewell RAW match. Christian on the other hand is not satisfied with a count-out victory and goes after the World champion. He hits another DDT on the steel ramp, slams Swagger's head into the guard barrier a few times and even tosses the champion into the steel steps before rolling him back into the ring to break up the ten count. Christian scales to the top rope and waits there for Swagger to stumble to his feet. Once he does, Christian soars in the air looking for a flying cross-body but the champion catches him, puts him down and goes for the Gut-Wrench. Christian, however, manages to slide behind Swagger once he was on his shoulders and immediately locks him up and hits the Kill Switch on the champion. Michael Cole is screaming the words "Kill-Switch, Kill-Switch, Kill-Switch" at ringside as Christian turns Swagger over and pins him for the 1-2-3 and upset victory! The crowd goes nuts as Christian celebrates in the ring while Swagger leaves looking back in shock. And to add insult to injury, Christian gets on the mic and leads the Moline crowd on in the singing of "Nah-Nah-Nah-Nah.... Hey-Hey-Hey.... Good-bye"! Swagger is furious that this is how his career on RAW ends.

RAW cuts to the back where Josh Matthews introduces Ted Dibiase Jr and Sr. Junior talks about how Orton's time with Legacy is over and now it's Dibiase's time to shine and tonight he will prove it by beating the Viper in the middle of the ring, 1-2-3. The Hall of Famer, Million Dollar Man then reminds the crowd that tonight he is the special referee. He tells his son that he tried to tell him months ago that Orton was only using him for his own gain and he's glad that he's finally seen that. He apologizes to his son for his loss last week to Christian and guarentee's that tonight that won't happen again and that the Million Dollar Man and his son will have the last laugh. Senior ends the promo with his cliche laugh as we go to commercials.

RAW returns from commercials with "New Day" by Adelitas Way beginning to sound over the PA as Ted Dibiase makes his way to ring accompanied by his father and the special referee for the match, the Million Dollar Man. The music dies and the two wait in the ring as the Viper plays the waiting game. The anticipation builds throughout the crowd before finally "I HEAR VOICES IN MY HEAD, THEY COME TO ME, THEY UNDERSTAND, THEY TALK TO ME" echoes throughout the arena and the fans in attendance go absolutely nuts. Randy Orton makes his way to the ring as his opponent and father anxiously anticipate him to step inside. Orton is causious and decides to slide in under the bottom rope quickly but not quick enough as Dibiase gets on the attack with stomps as the Million Dollar Man calls for the bell to be rung.

SPECIAL REFEREE SINGLES MATCH

Dibiase viciously goes to work on his former mentor and continues stomps and falling elbow strikes to the body and head. He makes a quick pin attempt and his father lays down a very fast count with Orton barely kicking out before the three. The match basically goes this way throughout with any pin attempt Dibiase makes he gets a three count and whenever Orton makes an attempt when he is on the offense he gets an extremely slow count. After about the fourth or fifth slow count, Orton gets to his feet and starts to stalk the Hall of Famer. This buys the young Dibiase time and he manages to get to his feet behind Orton and nail "Dream Street". He makes the pin attempt with a fast count by his father and Orton still manages to kick out at two. Dibiase slams his fists to the mat in frustration and the father and son huddle together to discuss another strategy while Orton lays on the canvas. Seeming that a new strategy is in place, Dibiase tosses his opponent to the outside and follows.

The young Dibiase continues his assault on the outside by drilling Orton's head into the guard barrier repeatedly, throwing him into the steps, and driving his back a few times into the steel ring post. All the while, the Million Dollar Man makes no ten count from the inside of the ring. Ending of the match comes when Dibiase rolls Orton back into the ring but before going in after him he starts to argue with a fan at ringside who is wearing an Randy Orton T-Shirt. After an exchange of some heated words, Dibiase tears the shirt off of the fan after pulling him over the barrier. His father meanwhile is screaming at his son to concentrate on the match at hand and not on some fan. Dibiase wastes precious time as he lays a couple stomps on the fan before jumping on the ring apron. What a costly mistake it proves to be as The Viper has regained some energy and sees his time to strike. He immediately jumps to his feet and grabs hold of a still distracted Dibiase before turning him over, setting him up and nailing his DDT with Dibiase's feet hanging from the ropes. Orton pulls him inwards and makes the cover but the Million Dollar Man refuses to get down to make the count. That is the final straw as Orton gets up and stalks the Hall of Famer again.

Dibiase Sr becomes cornered and attempts to exit but Orton grabs him just before and lays him out with a RKO as the fans go nuts. When he gets to his feet, he turns to see Dibiase Jr on his hands and knees attempted to make it to his feet. The Viper gets that sinister look in his eyes before charging and nailing his former protege with a vicious punt to the skull. Orton surveys the damage before dragging the out cold Dibiase Jr over near his out cold father and makes the pin. He grabs hold of the Hall of Famer's lifeless hand and slams it to the mat three times for the victory! The fans go nuts again as Orton celebrates by doing his signature pose on the second turnbuckle before leaving. Afterwards an upset Ted Dibiase Jr gets to his feet along with his father who is apologizing to his son. Dibiase goes to walk away twice with his father stopping him. The third time his father does this, a frustrated Dibiase nails his own dad with "Dream Street" before exiting the area to a chorus of boos.

We cut to the back in Otunga's office where he appears to be getting ready for his match against Cena later on tonight. He is interuppted by the Pro to fellow NxT rookie and rival Daniel Bryan, The Miz. The Miz tells Otunga that even though he doesn't see eye to eye with his own rookie he still agrees with the recent polls and that Otunga will always be second to Bryan just as long as the Miz is his mentor. Otunga seems rather annoyed and tells The Miz to go find his partner because they are going to defend their titles tonight. The Miz rebuttles by reminding him that unless it's against the Hart Dynasty who have already left the building, they can't defend the titles because the Hart Dynasty are the true number one contenders and no one else. Otunga actually agrees with him by saying he's right and thanking him for reminding him of that fact. So he says that The Miz will defend his United States title instead. The Miz is furious and after a few exchanges of the word "REALLY" the champion asks who his opponent will be. Just then Otunga's NxT Pro R-Truth from Smackdown enters and stands beside his rookie. The Miz is more outraged then ever scowls at the two before Otunga tells him to get ready, because the match is NEXT!

Commercials

WWE UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH

R-Truth comes out first rapping and gets the crowd going and is followed by the United States champion afterwards. Pretty decent back and forth battle between the two. A lot of impressive maneuvers by the challenger and the champion actually hit a few impressive counters and moves of his own. Ending of the match comes with R-truth reversing Miz's finisher, bouncing off the ropes and nailing his spinning axe kick. R-Truth makes the cover and we are seconds away from having a new US champion when R-Truth gets up, stopping the count as he is distracted by the arrival of The Miz's tag team partner, The Big Show's arrival. Big Show gets at ringside and mouths off to Truth while The Miz grabs hold of the referee, distracting him as he struggles to make it to his feet. Just then R-Truth leans through the middle and top rope at the Big Show but is met with a brutal knockout punch to the skull. Truth falls back in a heap, out cold on the mat as The Miz quickly capitalizes and makes the cover for the three count to retain his title. Big Show and Miz exit the ringside area with no celebration what so ever as Big Show talks to Miz on their way up the ramp telling him that he can't always be there to help him.

We cut to the back where we see the WWE champion, John Cena making his way through the corridors. His match is next.

Commercials

RAW comes back from commercials with Batista's music already blareing loudly and the Animal has already made his way to the announcer's table as he puts on his headset and sits next to Lawler. Cole welcomes Batista to the broadcast table as the Animal's music dies and is quickly followed by the champ's music. The crowd goes wild once again as Cena steps onto the entrance ramp, does his signature salute and storms to the ring. He quickly tosses his hat to the crowd and shirt and stands there staring down his Extreme Rules opponent who is sitting at ringside. Otunga's music follows and the rookie makes his way to the ring. The referee calls for the bell.

NON-TITLE SINGLES MATCH

Cena does get the early advantage and lays a beat down on the NxT rookie for a while but Otunga does manage to change the tide mid-way through the match and mount some offense of his own. The match quickly becomes a back and forth battle with Otunga putting on an impressive display of resiliance and determination. He even managed to nail his finisher after sliding out from underneath Cena when the champion went for his "U CAN'T SEE ME" five knuckle shuffle. Cena barely managed to get his shoulder up at two and three quarters. Batista comments at ringside that if Cena is having so much problems with a rookie tonight, it only proves that his victory at WrestleMania was indeed a fluke. Match ends with Otunga still on the offense hitting Cena with various punches to the head when apparently the champion had enough of letting it drag on and quickly hoists him up out of nowhere and hits an "Attitude Adjuster" on tonight's guest host. Cena stands up in rage and looks down at Batista before positioning his opponent in front of the broadcast table on his stomach and locking in the "STF". Cena wrenches it in as far as he can pull his opponent as the rookie taps out from the pain. Cena immediately stands up and stares down the Animal who has taken his headset off and is leaving the broadcast table. He stands next to the ring as the two stare eachother down when Otunga finally gets to his feet and angrily spins Cena around to exchange words. The Animal then strikes and quickly slides into the ring and before Cena can turn to counter, Batista kicks him in the gut and quickly drills him with the "Batista Bomb"! Batista stands over a fallen Cena as Otunga goes to the outside and grabs the WWE championship belt. He then gets back inside and hands it to the Animal before raising his hand. The guest host leaves the ring defeated after a very impressive showing as the crowd boos him and the Animal who still stands over a downed John Cena, raising Cena's title belt high in the air.

Commercials

We return from the break with the ring now cleared and "Time to Play the Game" by Motorhead beginning to play throughout the crowd. HHH steps out to a loud ovation, still wearing his D-X shirt and makes his way to the ring, spits his water, takes off his shirt and awaits his opponent. The Celtic Warrior's theme hits and out steps Sheamus to thunderous boos from the crowd in Moline, Illinois. As he makes his way to the ring HHH can't wait and charges to the outside to meet him. HHH drills him with vicious blows to the outside and inflicts some heavy punishment before rolling him into the ring for the match to officially begin.

MAIN-EVENT SINGLES MATCH
HHH vs Sheamus

The Game continues the punishment in the ring refusing to even attempt a cover as he just keeps pounding on the Celtic Warrior. The tides turn after a few minutes with Sheamus catching the Game in a variation of a bear hug as he went to try his signature knee lift and plants him hard to the canvas. Sheamus now goes on the offensive for the good portion of the match. He even takes the Game to the outside and inflicts some punishment out there by driving his back into the ring post and his head into the announce table. The Celtic Warrior rolls HHH back in and immediately plants his Razor's Edge finisher only to have HHH kick out at two. This only angers Sheamus who gets up and awaits the Game. Once HHH gets to his feet, Sheamus drills him in the head with a vicious jumping pump kick. Sheamus makes the cover again but yet again, only a two count. Sheamus can't believe it, it's WrestleMania all over and tries the cover two more times after that with the same result. The ending comes when Sheamus leaves the ring and grabs the bell before bringing it back inside. He stands over a struggling HHH with the bell raised high above his head, looking to strike the Cerebral Assassin. The referee however grabs the bell from Sheamus and throws it back to the outside. Sheamus turns to confront the referee and just then, HHH drills him with a desperate low blow which the referee didn't see. The referee turns around only in time to see HHH plant Sheamus with the "Pedigree". He makes the cover hooking the leg for the 1-2-3! HHH gets up and celebrates as he has got his revenge and the last word and redemption for himself and his retired friend, Shawn Michaels.... Not so fast. As the Game celebrates by doing his usual flexing on the turnbuckle, Sheamus sneaks back into the ring with HHH's signature weapon a sledgehammer! The Game gets down, turns and gets blasted in the head with the sledge, busting him open. Sheamus takes some time to mouth off to the crowd and drops the weapon to leave. But before he does he looks back to see HHH getting up as he is on his knees with blood dripping from his forehead. Sheamus gets back in and grabs the sledgehammer again. This time he bounces off the ropes in front of the fallen Game and drills him once again in the skull with the blunt end of the sledge. HHH lays in a bloody heap as Sheamus stands over him with both arms raised and in one hand proudly, HHH's signature sledgehammer.

WWE NxT 04/06/2010

WWE NxT comes to us this week from the I Wireless Center in Moline, Illinois. It kicks off with a nice pyro display at the entrance ramp before scanning through the crowd and focusing on Michael Cole and Matt Striker at ringside. They talk about the recent "Pro's Poll" as well as the "WWE Universe's Poll" as the results are in for both. Michael Cole mentions that in a few short weeks, the first rookie will be going home and tonight is all about immunity. Matt Striker then leaves the broadcast table as all eight rookies, without their pros, make their way to the ring.

Once all the rookies are inside the ring, Matt Striker reveals the results of the Fans Poll to the rookies as well as the rest of the WWE Universe. Much like the Pro's Poll, Daniel Bryan holds the top spot. Wade Barrett held the second spot in the Pro's Poll but that has now changed since the fans voted Justin Gabriel into that spot. Striker informs the six remaining rookies that tonight there will be a "Beat the Clock Challenge" between the bottom six rookies on the fan's poll. Three matches and out of the three winners, the rookie who wins his match in the fastest time will go onto next week to face the Fan's Poll number two ranked rookie, Justin Gabriel. The winner of that match next week will receive immunity through the first rookie cut-down. He also mentions that Daniel Bryan doesn't have to worry about immunity. Since he was voted number one in both the Pro and Fan Polls, he cannot be eliminated through the first cut-down. Striker now addresses the final two rookies and says that since the WWE Universe believe that they are the "cream of the crop" so to speak on WWE NxT, that they will team up tonight in the mainevent to take on two WWE veterans. Striker then says our first Beat the Clock Challenge match will between Darren Young and Wade Barrett and that match is next.

Commercials

NxT returns from commercials with Striker back at the announce table beside Michael Cole and all the other rookies returned to the locker room. It's just Wade Barrett and Darren Young in the ring as the referee signals for the bell to start the match.

BEAT THE CLOCK CHALLENGE MATCH # 1

Pretty decent matchup between the two rookies. Both showed very good and exciting offense however Barrett was the one who controlled most of the match. Cole and Striker discuss how Young really needs to win the immunity as he was ranked 7th and 8th in each of the polls. Ending of the match comes with when Barrett, who cannot seem to put Young away no matter what he tries, scales to the top rope. Young however seemed to be playing possum and quickly gets to his feet and charges towards Barrett. He grabs hold of Wade, takes him off of the top and places him on his shoulders before drilling him into the canvas with a running powerslam. Young gets the 1-2-3 and is really exited as he keeps his hopes for immunity alive despite their being two more matches.
Pinfall 6:42

NxT cuts to the back where Daniel Bryan is in one of the corridors stretching when The Miz enters the scene wearing a cocky grin on his face. Daniel stops his stretching and asks him what he's smiling about and the Miz tells him that he's smiling because not only is his rookie the #1 ranked rookie in both polls, but that means that he is the #1 ranked pro. He also says that it goes along well with him being the #1 superstar in all the WWE. Bryan just smiles and tries to ignore his "mentor" however the Miz stops his stretching again and tells Bryan that he has some business with him. He says he doesn't appreciate Bryan making enemies on this show when he can't back up his mouth and win a simple battle royal to host RAW.

He says because of Daniel's lack of backing his own mouth up, he was forced to defend his US title last night on RAW. He tells Daniel that he doesn't appreciate it. Bryan interupts him and tells him that he's a champion and any true champion shouldn't have a problem defending his title on any given night. He says that it's not his problem that he has to have a seven foot giant follow him around so he can keep the gold around his waist. He then tells Miz to excuse himself as he has to get ready for his match. The Miz just smiles at this and says "Yeah, good luck in that match by the way". Miz exits with Bryan paying little attention to him.

BEAT THE CLOCK CHALLENGE MATCH # 2

NxT returns with Skip Sheffield already in the ring awaiting his opponent. Out comes an enthusiastic Heath Slater and receives a pretty decent pop from the crowd. The match immediately starts as soon as Slater gets in the ring as Sheffield immediately goes to work on him. Skip attempts many pinfall attempts within the first two minutes trying to gain a quick victory and fastest time but to no avail, Slater will not go down. Slater gets on the offense for a couple minutes of his own and also tries some high flying moves to put the bigger Sheffield away but can't get the three count. Match comes to an end with Skip on the offense and pounding hard on Slater. He drills him with a bunch of power moves and frantically tries to cover him as their time is about to expire.

With about ten seconds remaining, Skip hoists Slater up for a powerbomb attempt but Slater reverses and sends Skip through the ropes to the outside with a hurricarana. The time limit expires just as Sheffield makes it to his feet. Skip now becomes engulfed with rage and climbs back into the ring and starts to pumble on Heath viciously. He plants with him numerous heavy boots before drilling him into the mat with a powerbomb that he tried to attempt earlier. Sheffield leaves the ring to a chorus of boos.
Time Limit Expired 6:43

We go to the back where last night's RAW Guest Host David Otunga is making his way to the entrance ramp as he walks through corridors. The final Beat the Clock Challenge is next.

Commercials

We return from the break with Michael Tarver already coming to the ring. He steps inside and sikes himself up by shadow boxing around the ring and slapping himself in the face. Out next is Otunga to a chorus of boos. He casually walks to the ring, taking his time. Once both men are in, the referee calls for the bell.

BEAT THE CLOCK CHALLENGE MATCH # 3

Match started with Tarver gaining the quick advantage using his boxing skills but it didn't last long as Otunga took over after that and pretty much dominated the rest of it with the exception of a few offensive maneuvers from Tarver. Otunga battled with Tarver and watched the clock on the jumbo tron closely. When there was about fifteen seconds left, Otunga quickly nails his finisher on Tarver and makes the cover getting the victory without about two seconds left to spare.
Pinfall 6:40

Striker gets up from the announce table, grabs a mic and announces that at six minutes and fourty seconds, David Otunga is tonight's Beat the Clock Challenge winner with the fastest time. He will then go on to face Justin Gabriel next week for the right to immunity.

Commercials

NxT is back and Daniel Bryan and Justin Gabriel make their way out to the ring, slapping the hands of some of the fans at ringside. They both get into the ring as their music dies and they await the arrival of the veteran opponents. After a few moments the inmistakable beginning theme of a certain tag team starts "WELL... ITS THE....AWESOME....BIG SHOW"! A huge pyro blast goes off as the WWE Unified Tag Team champions Show-Miz make their way to the ring. Bryan and Gabriel cannot believe what they are seeing as the champs enter the ring.

MAIN-EVENT NON-TITLE TAG TEAM MATCH

Once the bell sounds the Miz wants to start the match and Bryan and Gabriel decide to go with Justin. However the Miz demands Gabriel to tag in his rookie, Daniel Byan. The fans want to see it too and when Bryan is tagged in, Miz quickly goes to his corner and tags in the 7'4 500 lbs plus, Big Show. Bryan reluctantly tries to hit Show with various kicks and punches but Show puts an end to that quickly with a dominating clothesline. Once Bryan is down, Miz asks to get tagged in and Show does. Miz then walks around with fallen rookie before laying a couple boots to him. He drags him up and after a few more offensive maneuvers, goes for his finisher but Daniel gets out of it and slaps him into his submission finisher. Miz screams in pain as the fans are loving it. Big Show quickly stops it and breaks up the move. The Big Show basically dominated the rest of the match for the tag champs. Justin Gabriel got in there and got some moves on the Miz but Show put a stop to that. Ending came with Bryan and Miz in the ring and with the rookie gaining the advantage. But the US champion quickly dives out fo harms way and tags in his monster of a partner. Bryan then runs, bounces off the ropes and tries a flying cross-body or something of that sort but is just met with a huge knock out punch from Show. He makes the cover and gets the easy 1-2-3! After the match, the Miz tosses his rookie out of the ring like garbage and celebrates inside the ring holding up his three titles for everyone to see. Big Show celebrates as well but doesn't seem to enjoy this victory as much as his partner does. Cole and Striker sign us off reminding us of next week's immunity match.
