Roman Reigns w Paul Heyman(c) V LA Knight The opening contest for the premium live event was the one on one match for the WWE Universal Championship, between the defending champion Roman Reigns and the challenger LA Knight. It lasted twenty minutes and despite a good showing from Knight he would find himself trapped in the Guillotine Choke and was forced to tap out. Winner & Still WWE Universal Champion: Roman Reigns PM: Judgment Day came out and beat Reigns down and Priest cashed in to become the new WWE Universal Champion. Zoey Stark’s Theme Zoey Stark was revealed to be the first entrant into the 2024 Women’s Royal Rumble match. Zelina Vega’s Theme Zelina Vega was revealed as the second entrant into the match. 2024 Women’s Royal Rumble Match Stark and Vega brawled with each other but neither was successful in eliminating the other. Tiffany Stratton’s Theme The third entrant into the match was NXT’s Tiffany Stratton. Thea Hail’s Theme The over enthusiastic Hail sprinted to the ring and ran wild on Vega and Stratton but then got caught and laid out by Stark with a Z-360 and eliminated. Thea Hail eliminated by Zoey Stark
Sonya Deville’s Theme The fifth entrant was Sonya Deville who brawled with Vega while Stark did the same with Stratton Shotzi Blackheart’s Theme Shotzi Blackheart made her way into the match Shayna Baszler’s Theme The seventh entrant into the match made an instant impact by eliminating Vega and Deville at the same time. Zelina Vega and Sonya Deville eliminated by Shayna Baszler Roxanne Perez’s Theme Perez entered the match and laid Baszler out with Pop Rocks. Raquel Rodriguez Theme Raquel Rodriguez made her way out to the ring Piper Niven’s Theme One half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Piper Niven entered the match.
Nikkita Lyons Theme The eleventh entrant Lyons brawled with Stark, Stratton with Blackheart, Baszler with Perez and Rodriguez with Niven Nikki Cross’s Theme Cross attacked everyone and laid Startton out with the Purge. Mia Yim’s Theme Mia Yim made her way into the match Liv Morgan’s Theme Liv Morgan made her way into the match. Kairi Sane’s Theme The “Pirate Princess” was revealed to be the fifteenth entrant into the match.

This is where Cargill debuts and she hasn’t appeared on WWE TV before now. She eliminated Stratton, Blackhead and Stark one after the other. Tiffany Stratton, Shotzi Blackheart and Zoey Stark eliminated by Jade Cargill Ivy Nile’s Theme Ivy Nile was revealed as the seventeenth entrant into the match. Indi Hartwell’s Theme Hartwell made her way into the ring. Dakota Kai’s Theme The second member of Damage CTRL made her way into the match, where she and Sane teamed up to eliminate Cross. Baszler did the same to Yim.
Nikki Cross eliminated by Damage CTRL Mia Yim is eliminated by Baszler Cora Jade’s Theme The twentieth entrant was revealed to be NXT’s Cora Jade who set her sights on Perez and eliminated her. Roxanne Perez eliminated by Cora Jade Chelsea Green’s Theme The other half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions aka Chelsea Green was the 21st entrant. Cargill eliminated Rodriguez, Baszler eliminated Lyons and the duo of Green & Niven eliminated Hartwell and then Nile.

Natalya Neidhart’s Theme Neidhart made her way into the match Lyra Valkyria’s Theme The former NXT Women’s Champion was the last entrant into the match. Flair eliminated Kai, Cargill did the same to Sane and Belair got rid of Asuka. Dakota Kai eliminated by Charlotte Flair Kairi Sane eliminated by Jade Cargill

The final four of the 2024 women’s Royal Rumble match were Jade Cargill, Charlotte Flair, Bayley and Becky Lynch. Bayley got rid of Lynch then Flair did the same to Bayley. Because if the challenger fails to win the title he will not be able to challenge again while Rollins is champion. Escobar brawled with Rhodes, Styles with Paul, Reed with Lashley, and the trio of McIntyre, Breaker and Lesnar brawled amongst themselves.
Dijak’s Theme Dijak was number 21. Chad Gable’s Theme The WWE IC Champion Chad Gable made his way out to the ring. Jey Uso’s Theme Jey Uso was the 23rd entrant into the match Jimmy Uso’s Theme Jimmy Uso was the 24th entrant. Breaker eliminated Lesnar, Lashley did the same to McIntyre, Styles was able to eliminate Dijak.

The Miz’s Theme Miz entered the match at the second last entry. Gunther’s Theme The man that started the 2023 men’s Royal Rumble was revealed as the last entrant into the 2024 edition. Paul eliminated Styles and then Gable eliminated him.

The final four were Rhodes, Gable, Nakamura and Gunther.
Rhodes got the better of Nakamura and threw him out, while Gunther did the same to Gable and told him as he did that he could keep the IC Championship. Finally the “Ring General” got the better of the “American Nightmare” and eliminated him. Winner of the 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble: Gunther
World Wrestling Entertainment has revealed that the new WWE Universal Champion Damian Priest has been traded to Smackdown. While LA Knight has been traded to Monday Night RAW as a replacement.
In other news the company has confirmed that at WrestleMania XL Night Two Roman Reigns will be getting his rematch for the WWE Universal Championship and will be taking time off from WWE until the show of shows.
Meanwhile Gunther has confirmed that he will be challenging for the WHC at WrestleMania XL Night One also Jade Cargill will be challenging for Women's World Championship on Night Two of WrestleMania XL
