Winter done with TNA

TNA Knockout Winter, real name Katrina Waters, has noted on her official website, K-Waters.net, that she has indeed finished with TNA. The following has been posted on her site:

Just wanted to make an update and let everyone know Kat’s contract with TNA is officially up! Which means she is free to do DVDs, bookings, iPPVs, and whatever else! If interested please send emails to infamousbookings@hotmail.com

Winter's last appearance on TNA TV was back on April 6th, and it appears that her no-compete clause with the company has officially expired as she is now available to appear on other wrestling broadcasts.

Shame she's left as I always liked her.

The crazy gimmick that TNA gave her really held her back. She is a talented wrestler and it is a shame she didn't get much of a chance to showcase her talents.

I wonder if WWE will be interested again? WWE don't have that many wrestling divas anymore so they could use someone like her.

I think she mainly seems to be more into acting now from what i've read. I know she's booked for Dreamer's promotion's first show, so perhaps she'll become a regular there, do the odd indy show, whilst doing some acting work.

Didn't even know she was still with them to be honest. Like Troy I am a fan and think she was misused from day one there. Not confident that WWE would do much more with her so maybe a decent indie run and some film work maybe best for her right now.

I wonder why she kept getting stuck with this terrible gimmicks. In WWE it was an incest storyline and in TNA it was a weird zombie lesbian storyline with Angelina Love, she could never be given a regular gimmick.

First took notice of her when Chibi from The Birthday Massacre announced she was writting her song for WWE, always liked the kind of Industrial/Raver look she had, MY kind of girl.

Hopefully she can find a way to get back on my TV, but the chances of that happening are as likely as Shelley Martinez getting back on my TV.

- TNA Wrestling has parted ways with two British-based talents in Mark Haskins and Winter, PWInsider.com reports. The organization released Haskins from his contract and opted not to renew the former Women's Knockout Champion's deal after it expired last week. Both individuals have been removed from the company website's roster page, thus confirming their respective departures.

Didn't think Haskins deserved his own thread due to how sparingly he was used, but it appears he's gone as well. Instead of just removing roster pics, TNA should really make a formal announcement like WWE does. Doesn't have to be any longer than a sentence or two, but at least let us know.

I disagree. I have a bit of knowledge about her history as I saw her as a rookie Nikita back in 2002-05 on the British Indie scene and at first her matches were very sloppy, but slowly she improved and I think certainly out of the recent female talented pushed (if that is the right word) by WWE and TNA she is one of the best. She normally puts on solid matches and I think is also decent personality wise. Its a case of both those companies dropping the ball on this one. You say no great loss but that is only because they never used her properly so will never know what they are missing.

Regardless of what she did in the independents, she never produced anything in TNA or WWE. She was known as the one who was to be involved in an incest angle in the WWE and the one in TNA who was involved in the Blue drugging / lesbian angle with Angelina. Never done anything to live up to her supposed hype.

I will correct you she was never allowed to do anything to live up to her supposed hype. Also her matches were mostly good, look at her match with Mickie James at NOC 2008.

I think that the major issue was always the odd gimmicks she was given rather than her actual wrestling ability.
