According to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros is in talks to adapt the 2011 video game Temple Run with Harry Potter producer David Heyman set to produce. The game was developed and published by Imangi Studios. A sequel arrived earlier this year, along with several spin-offs. The game is played on mobile devices like the Android, where it is a best-selling app.
The story will focus on an explorer who steals an idol from a temple and is chased by demonic forces. The studio is currently looking for a writer.
Not only has Heyman produced all eight Harry Potter films for Warner Bros, but he also produced this year's Gravity, which has brought in $475 million. Heyman is also in talks to produce J.K. Rowling's Fantastic Beasts & Where to Find Them. Lynn Harris will oversee for the studios.
