War Machine released from Bellator following domestic abuse allegations.

Jonathan Koppenhaver otherwise known as War Machine is one of those fighters that seems to succeed in making a story out of pretty much anything besides his fighting, so it should come to no suprise that when a domestic abuse story came to light that not many people would be too suprised.

War Machine was in a relationship with porn star Christy Mack and was a prime suspect in an alleged 3 person altercation that took place in his Las Vegas home. Mack and one other person were being treated in hospital prior to the announcement. He is currently wanted by the LVPD for the incident.

This is not the first time War Machine has been in trouble with the law, as he was arrested in San Diego back in 2010 where he subsequently served a one year jail sentence for the incident.

Meanwhile, Bellator President learned of the incident and released the following statement late Friday Night:

We have a zero tolerance policy here at Bellator when it relates to any form of domestic violence, and after learning of this latest incident involving Jon Koppenhaver, War Machine, Bellator is releasing him from him promotional contract with the organization.

War Machine posted a 2-1 record in Bellator with wins over Blas Avena and Vaughn Anderson before dropping a loss to Ron Keslar back in October 2013. His most noteable career win was against Roger Huerta back in November 2011, in which he became the first man to defeat Huerta with strikes.
