W!W!W! Presents the Wild World of Wrestling

Week 1

The show starts off with Kurt Angle's music hitting and he makes his way to the ring and grabs a microphone. He cuts a promo on how there is a big celebration tonight for Owen Hart but none for him when his achievement at the pay-per-view was even more impressive and that if he was given the chance he would be champion right now. He then goes onto call himself an American Hero and vows to take the World belt from that Canadian and as he's going on that tirade he's suddenly cut off by...

And the North American Champion Dusty Rhodes walks out on the stage with a microphone of his own. He tells Angle to stop making Americans and the American Dream look bad. He says that he couldn't stay in the back and listen to his nonsense any longer. Kurt says this isn't any of Dusty's business and Dusty says "you made it the American Dream's bidness when you drug America into it, jack!"

Then the titantron comes to life and W!W!W! owner Harley Race is on it. He says the time for talking is over and that these two are going to settle it in the ring and books the North American Champion Dusty Rhodes vs. the number one contender for the World Heavyweight Championship Kurt Angle for tonight!

Nigel McGuinness vs. BJ Whitmer
First match of the evening is a couple of debuts as Nigel McGuinness goes head to head with BJ Whitmer. It's a hard hitting match, both guys wanting to make an impression in their debut. The match ends when BJ Whitmer goes for a lariat, only for his attempt to be avoided and McGuinness going off the ropes and almost decapitating him with a Jawbreaker Lariat of his own and knocking Whitmet out cold and getting the three count.

Los Guerreros vs. The Backseat Boyz
Next match is Los Guerreros vs. The Backseat Boyz. Both Guerreros are looking to bounce back after losses at the PPV and the Backseat Boyz are also looking for a win to get back in track in the tag team division after losing in their title match at the PPV. Both teams put on a good match, but in the end the Guerrero spirit is just too much for Acid and Kashmere and Los Guerreros picks up the victory after a couple of frog splashes.

Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart vs. Jerry "The King" Lawler
The third match of the evening is Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart vs. Jerry "The King" Lawler. Anvil just unleashes an anger like we've never seen before and destroys The King. The Anvil has made his presence known.

Mr. Perfect vs. Bob Backlund
In a match of technical prowess Mr. Perfect takes on Bob Backlund. This is wrestling, pro or amateur, at it's finest. The two men put on a grappling clinic with all sorts of suplexes, throws, and various holds. Backlund locks Perfect in the Crossface Chickenwing, but Perfect escapes before going out and then when he gets the opportunity he locks Backlund in the sleeper hold! But that doesn't work either as Backlund is too experienced and escapes. Backlund attempts a suplex on Perfect but Perfect is able to counter it and he hooks Backlund's leg and hits him with the Perfect-Plex! He bridges and makes the cover, Backlund struggles but cannot kick out as Perfect gets the three count after a great, hard fought match.

The African Plague (Akeem and Kamala) w/ James Mitchell and Abdullah the Butcher vs. The Rising Sons w/ Sonny Onoo
The African Plague make their in-ring debut and much like their appearance at the PPV, they destroy. The very experienced Great Muta and Masahiro Chono fight back, but in the end the size of the monstrous Kamala and Akeem, not to mention Abdullah the Butcher and James Mitchell on the outside, it is just too much for them to handle and the African Plague pick up their first victory.

Afterwards however they are not done. Kamala, Akeem and Abdullah, with orders barked by James Mitchell, tear apart Muta and Chono some more and then focus their attention on defenseless Sonny Onoo. The Butcher grabs him by the throat but just as he does...

It's Yokozuna! Yokozuna arrives and Abdullah drops Sonny Onoo as he scurries away and the African Plague get ready to fight. But as they do James Mitchell holds them back and tells them to leave which they obey and Yokozuna stands in the ring still ready to fight. As they're leaving James Mitchell grabs a microphone.

"You know, the thing about a plague is... it can't kill everybody at once because what's the fun in that? We want to see people suffer and we want to see people FEAR. The Plague WILL descend upon you Yokozuna, oh yes it will... but not now. Not yet. When? You've never know and that... that is the worst part, isn't it?"

James Mitchell drops the microphone as he leads the African Plague away as Yokozuna stands in the ring still fuming, while Muta, Chono and Onoo receive medical attention.

World Tag Team Championship Match
The American Wolves (c) vs. The Hart Dynasty

Next up is The American Wolves defending their Tag Team Titles for the first time against The Hart Dynasty. The Hart Dynasty is getting another chance at gold, this time with only one team to worry about, and they're trying to make the most of it. It's a great back-and-forth match but in the end the champions prove why they won the belts in the first place and successfully defend their belts as the Hart Dynasty falls short again.

Kevin Steen Open Challenge to the Funk Family
Kevin Steen makes his way to the ring with his Championship of Brutality and grabs a microphone. He speaks of how much destruction he caused at the PPV and that he ended the Funk Family. He then makes an open challenge... to any member of the Funk family. There is silence and just as it seems like no one is showing up...

Steen: "What is it with these Rhodes and their interrupting people? How does this concern you? Are you a Funk? I know you're redneck and stupid, but I didn't think that automatically made you a Funk."

Cody Rhodes: "I might not be a Funk, but I grew up in this business and this business is a family to me. I grew up under the guidance of Terry Funk and Dory Funk and countless others, but those Funks were like uncles to me and what you did to them was despicable and someone has to stand up to you."

Steen: "Then do it boy, then do it!"

Steen lays down his belt and he's ready to fight and so is Cody.

Cody charges into the ring and they go at it, fists are flying as it everything else. There is absolutely no control or any hope of this being a match and immediately officials and referees pile from the back to break it up, but both men keep getting loose.

Dusty Rhodes now runs down to the ring in his gear, ready for his upcoming match and he manages to talk some sense to his son and pull him away but both Cody and Steen are staring holes in each other and look like rabid dogs ready to rip the other apart. Dusty tells Cody to head to the back and he reluctantly does as security and officials escort Steen out the other way.

Kurt Angle vs. Dusty Rhodes
Dusty gets in the ring and gets ready for his match as Kurt Angle makes his entrance, but his mind clearly can't be totally on this match. Angle gets in the ring and the match starts. Dusty has his moments, but Angle seems to be ahead of him at just about every corner and after a big Angle Slam, the Olympic Gold Medalist proves why he is the number one contender as he gets the victory over the North American Champion.

Owen Hart Championship Celebration
Finally it is the championship celebration for Owen Hart. It's a great celebration, with the whole Hart Foundation in tow. Bret congratulates his little brother and then takes a microphone and begins to speak.

"Owen you don't know what it means to me to see you standing there with that belt, finally capturing the big one, finally being a world champion. You did it, I always knew you could do it, I just didn't know it would be against me, but I guess the better man won on that night. Congratulations Owen, there's not much more that words can say, but there is something I've always wanted to say to you and now that you are champion I guess it's time to say it... I'm still not proud of you."

And with that, before Owen can even react to what was said, Bret nails him in the head with the microphone and he goes down! Quickly Tyson Kidd and DH Smith rush in, not knowing what is going on and grab Bret and pull him away from Owen but as they do they're attacked from behind by the Anvil! Owen is now back up though and fighting back and it's now turned into Bret and Anvil vs. Owen, Kidd and DH Smith. The one man advantage begins to have the upperhand, but then...

What is going on? The music hits and everyone stops in their tracks and looks at the ramp, but then Bobby Roode appears out of the crowd with a chair, he slides in the ring and boom! He takes out Owen. Kidd and Smith run at him and they both get taken out for their troubles as well. Bobby looks at Bret and then at Anvil and all three men smile as Roode throws the chair down. Bret Hart, Jim Neidhart and Bobby Roode stand tall over the bodies of former Hart Foundations members, what is going on?!

Fade to black.

good to see you using Los G as a tag team, they are the only team in your fed I can see really challenging the Wolves for the belts

The Dusty/Angle stuff was a little awkward as was the Cody/Steen stuff but I am sure that can all be worked out

The Plague vs a faction of Japan's finest is intriguing especially since most Japanese stables are considered heels and in this they are clearly the faces and I like the idea of face Zuna

also inspired choice having Bret be the heel instead of Owen and teaming him with Roode and Anvil is a pretty good start...I for one actually look forward to a Roode v Owen program

I really like the pairing of Roode with Bret and Anvil, very cool and I can't wait for the Roode/Owen match. The stuff with Steen was awesome, and I like that you're making him out to be this sick, unstoppable, uncaring evil bastard and take out anyone that gets in his way.

The American Hero vs The American Dream? Sounds interesting to me.

I like your tag team division, and like Booty I see Los Guerreros being a worthy challenge to The Wolves for the tag belts. That match would be a spectacle to see, so I can't wait for it.

The stuff African Plague and Yoko and the Rising Sons has me interested. It will be different seeing a face Yoko, but I'm sure you can make it work.

Keep up the good work dude.

Really sick show. Pushing The Anvil is interesting. I love the tag division. Really great matches all around that I'd pay to see. The end was well done as well. Good job.

Very cool show, like the emerging feud between the Japanese & the African plague (excellent use of Mitchell BTW). The Hart Foundation war should be fun too.
