Maria was the only one that refused to provide a statement saying nothing happened either, she was under contract with WWE at the time of the original lawsuit. She's mentioned recently about having things "she can't say" so not sure what she's held to if anything

I don't know all the details regarding Maria at all either, I just recently found out she refused to give the statement but other than that she's been very vague but just encouraging support for women.

Jerry McDevitt said that everyone on that tour but Maria Kanellis had told WWE they knew nothing about it and he described not knowing why, when WWE asked, that Kanellis refused to say anything.

Fwiw they probably thought they were helping Ashley at first, even if they thought Vince was a scumbag, there was probably that idea he'd at least be loyal to his own talent being abused by outside parties.

Not speaking up after of course is an entirely different conversation but I wouldn't particularly blame them more than anyone else who had knowledge. I can't really fault any wrestlers not speaking up when Ashley herself agreed to silence it. I think it's normal to want to honor the wishes of the victim even in situations like this where they shouldn't

It’s more than likely HHH, Khan, etc just didn’t want anymore shit coming to light and wanted whatever Vince was trying to do in coming back to WWE as easy as possible, just to keep everything as quiet as possible.

I can’t look at HHH, Steph, Shane, etc as the hero’s some people online paint them as. They knew, and at best they did nothing to help the victims and just kept things quiet.

This is just going to keep getting worse and worse as more people come forward and more people are implicated. But it has to happen.

Yeah especially with a company as large as TKO. They can stretch it awhile and the more legal bills you have to pay the easier it is to pressure into a settlement as well.

I think the other big reason would just be risk if blowback in the industry but personally unless they're a current WWE employee, I think we might actually be past that level of blackballing from the entire business

Fightful Select is reporting that the unnamed executives that are being heavily speculated on remains a mystery to many within the company, however, one source high up in the WWE claims that one of them had “long been gone from WWE.”​
