Undertaker vs John Cena at WrestleMania 34?

Solidus1

eXit
"At WrestleMania 33 in Orlando, Florida, The Undertaker seemingly retired after losing to Roman Reigns. Following the loss, the Undertaker ceremonially disrobed, leaving his hat, gloves, and trench coat in the middle of the ring before descending into smoke from the ramp. Although this was expected to be his last match, primarily due to health issues, commentators over the past few months have left a shade of doubt regarding his retirement.

On Raw, John Cena was involved in a promo sparring with Roman Reigns to further hype their match at No Mercy. During the segment, Reigns stated that he has done something that Cena was not able to do, which is retire the Undertaker. Cena shockingly responded, “I’m not the Undertaker. I’m not a battered veteran at the end of his career with a bad hip.”

Interestingly, while that comment seemed tasteless, it could be leading to something in the future. According to PWInsider, Undertaker was working out in the ring before SummerSlam. Although he did not show up on television during the pay-per-view, his working out in the ring off-camera could perhaps be a sign of preparing for a return.

As a result, major speculation is circulating that Undertaker may be back for one more WrestleMania match to compete against John Cena. PWInsider also stated that there is a gong sound at the end of the No Mercy promo vignettes, so this may further indicate an Undertaker return in the near future. There is also speculation that the Undertaker’s potential return may lead up to a match against Cena at Survivor Series to bring a better draw to the pay-per-view.

It's the match they always wanted for WM33, so I wouldn't be surprised. Thoughts?

Dark Side
Honestly, Undertaker should be retired and stay retired. He was one of the people who got me into wrestling, but I am concerned of Mark Callaway can handle another match. His last true show-stealer was WM 29 against CM Punk who (whether you liked him or not) could have a good match with a broom. But other than that, he isn't really in the physical shape to have another match. If he would wrestle one more time, it can hurt the moment he had after the match at WM 33.

¡Tranquilo!

World's Finest Failure.
I thought the end of WM33 was just about perfect but unfortunately the match the before it was horrid. I could understand him wanting to come back and redeem himself in his swan song but I'm honestly worried the man can't do it.

He broke character after the match left his gear in the ring. As far as im concerned he is retired.....

But maybe he just retired from wrestlemania. Maybe he will actually retire at the show he debuted at?

I hope not. It would make the point in reigns beating him worthless

I hope not. He needs to stay retired. He can come back as a manager, guest commentator, etc...he had a lot of influence and could really help get some new talent over.

However, getting back in the ring would be a mistake ala Ric Flair.

I would think he has better sense than to return after such a big send off.

Personally I don't think the Undertaker should wrestle again...but...
we know that Vince & Mark are incredibly close friends and perhaps
they have come to some kind of agreement.

I was under the impression that Taker wouldn't be wrestling after his
hip surgery...but he may not be coming back for an actual match.

He may simply "appear" at No Mercy and kick the shit out of Reigns
& Cena with a couple of chokeslams and or tombstones...but...

Undertaker vs. Cena at Wrestlemania 34?

I think its a match that is simply 5 years too late...

just stick to Reigns. You started it, now finish it. If you have Cena go over Taker as the 3rd person at Mania, it's kinda like spitting on the grave of the streak. And I know, they could also have Taker go over Cena but Taker's an old school guy who went on record saying that he'd rather walk out on a loss by putting over the company's new star, which is Reigns. So in my opinion, the only logical storyline for Taker, right now, is the Reigns rematch

I thought taker wrestling after Brock was dumb enough. If he comes back to fight Cena after losing and "retiring" to reigns too, I'll be so mad. It ruins everything.

May-be Cena cheats to win, retires the Undertaker and
turns heel to become an evil part time shovel wielder...

Heel Cena would be great in any fashion. He could turn heel by hitting an AA to a toddler right now and I would be happy just because he's heel.

Well...that might be a bit too...dramatic...

Perfect, they can feud over who made Roman look stronger.
That would be an easy answer though. The answer is Roman. Because Roman makes Roman look stronger.
But that makes no sense...because everyone knows
its Vince who makes Roman look the strongest.

Because it doesn't matter who you are or what you do or
how loud the crowd cheers for you...

Your fate is to be eventually fed to Roman Reigns...and that's
why I don't like and don't watch Roman Reigns.

I find the idea of one "Big Dog" Superstar ruling the ring and
eventually defeating EVERYONE (Except the woman...did
you ever wonder why I really enjoy the women's division...
apart from the fact I love beautiful, strong athletic women)
an extremely boring "story" and that really appears to be
the only story the WWE is telling.

Look...if the Undertaker wants to wrestle again...fine...but
I won't be watching it.

It was hard enough watching Taker "stumble" around in the
2017 Royal Rumble and I didn't watch the Wrestlemania 33
main event because I didn't want to watch one of the greatest
in-ring performers of all time who could barely move get the
piss speared out of him by a guy I (and many others) can't stand.

Let the Deadman stay dead and move on WWE.

Stop bringing back and relying on "old" stars and develop the
new and current talent you have with solid booking and compelling
story telling.

And if the "old" guys do want to come back...have them actually
put over the new talent...instead of shitting on them.

Imagine what it would do for someone like Braun Strowman if
HE squashed Goldberg in 96 seconds.

Give the audience a reason to care about your current "stars"
instead of giving them a reason to to simply wait till one of those
"old" stars shows up and is booked to shit all over the current
"stars" you have.

Just my two cents...
