HOUSTON – Frankie Edgar, Joe Lauzon, Nam Phan and Leonard Garcia each earned $75,000 fight-night bonuses for their performances at Saturday's UFC 136 event.

Edgar earned the night's "Knockout of the Night" award, Lauzon picked up the "Submission of the Night" bonus, and Phan and Garcia took home "Fight of the Night" honors.

MmaJunkie.com learned of the bonus winners and award amounts at UFC 136's post-fight press conference.

UFC 136 took place at Houston's Toyota Center. The night's main card aired on pay-per-view, and Facebook and Spike TV carried portions of the preliminary card.

Edgar earned his award by rallying from a 10-8 deficit in the night's main event. The UFC lightweight champion rallied back to win the next two rounds and then scored a TKO victory in the fourth. The come-from-behind win resulted in his second successful title defense, and it avenged the only loss (and draw) of his career, which both came to Maynard.

Lauzon picked up his bonus with a shocking 47-second victory over 4-to-1 favorite and top lightweight contender Melvin Guillard. Lauzon cracked the striker with a quick left, followed him to the mat, and got the tap-out from the rear-naked choke.

In a long-awaited rematch, Phan and Garcia put on a barnburner. But unlike the first meeting, Phan wasn't stuck with a bum decision. Thanks to his crisp striking and solid head and footwork, he scored a unanimous-decision victory via 29-28 scores across the board. The crowd-pleasing fight brought the Toyota Center crowd to its feet.

On a night in which Bellator scored a record for its smallest audience, UFC 136's "UFC Prelims" special on Spike TV did the same.

This past weekend's one-hour, two-fight broadcast drew an all-time series low with a 0.8 household rating and 1.0 million viewers.

Spike TV officials today emailed the ratings information to www.mmajunkie.com

UFC 136 took place this past Saturday, Oct. 8, at Houston's Toyota Center. The Spike TV special followed a Facebook preliminary-card stream and preceded the night's pay-per-view main card. Anthony Pettis and Demian Maia picked up victories during the Spike TV broadcast.

Of the 23 "UFC Prelims" specials Spike TV has aired to date, UFC 136's ranked last. The event opened with 920,000 viewers and concluded with 1,043,000 in the special's final quarter hour. It scored a 1.0 rating among men 18-49 and a 1.24 among men 18-34.

The all-time record for viewership was set in February, when 2 million viewers tuned in for a "UFC Prelims" special for UFC 126. The previous low came at UFC 118, which earned 1.1 million viewers.

I actually thought some of the prelims were pretty good, they have been the past few shows.
