Yeah, make a selection and on a new layer fill it with black then decrease the opactiy. However, I just posted a basic Match Preview tutorial so maybe you can find something useful over there!

Was about to post in the Doctor Who thread, noticed that the spoiler tags are not working there the existing ones and there are potential spoilers visible. Can anything be done about it?
