Tunisian dies after eating 28 raw eggs for bet

A young Tunisian died after winning a bet to eat 28 raw eggs in one sitting, Shems FM radio reported on Wednesday.


Dhaou Fatnassi, 20, from the central town of Kairouan, swallowed the eggs after his friends challenged him to do so for an undisclosed sum of money.

The young man then experienced stomach pains and was taken to hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival

I'd like to know just how much money he was offered, then I can decide whether the attempt was worth it initially. Of course, hindsight being 20/20, it was a horrible idea. Plus, did he even realize what raw eggs can do to his body? Stupidity wins out here.

It's obviously ignorant to pull off stupid stuff like that, so why did he chose to consume those 28 raw eggs to begin with? Maybe the story will teach people a lesson on not betting on your life for some measly money, I don't care how much money it is.
