Tournament 2: WrestleMania Mainevents

For Tournament #2 we have decided to keep it seasonal and with WrestleMania around the corner we couldn't go past having a WrestleMania themed tournament. We have decided to pit every WrestleMania mainevent against each other to see what WS members believe is the best mainevent.

Here is the list of the mainevent from each WrestleMania:

WrestleMania 2 - Hulk Hogan (c) vs. King Kong Bundy (Steel Cage match for the WWF Championship)

Polls will last for four days. The tournament will be posted in five sections. There are four rounds and round 1 will be split into two.​

This is a great idea Troy, it will be very intertesting to see how the whole thing comes out.

Personally it is a toss up between Austin and The Rock from 17 (greatest Mania of all time), and HHH VS. Benoit VS. Michaels from 20. The best match full-stop at a Mania is the Submission match between Bret Hart and Austin from 13, but I reliease that is not classed as a main event.

I was thinking Troy, that maybe next time you should do a greatest Wrestlemania match Poll, so expend it beyond just the main events. Quite often the main events are not the best matches at these events, and it would be even tougher to come up with someone's best ever Mania match.

Before starting the tournament the choice was between the best match from each WM or the actual mainevent. In the end we went with mainevents since it would have been subjective to pick the best match from each WM to put against each other since some may have disagreed on what we thought was the best match to begin with.
