Series get's a relaunch and the new game drops on March 5th.

Prob going to pick it up as I was always a fan of the PS/PS2 games and it looks solid graphic wise and gameplay from what I've seen. If it can be solid like the Uncharted series think it will be a must play.

I don't know, I'm terrible at these games even if I do find them quite fun. I didn't like the last few either especially when they tried to take series from the tombs to more urban areas.

:lmao I fucking knew those Uncharted games would lead to this eventually. Always happens when another game franchise upstages an iconic one of the same genre. Just like when the Assassins Creed series dominated the PS3/360 era in stealth games and here came Hitman roaring back late last year. Also the reason Duke Nukem will likely never die.

Sorry to bump a bit of an old thread but I bought this on releases date as I'm a big fan of the Tomb Raider series. I'm slowly working my way through it and it is pretty good but there is FAR too much shooting in it for my liking. Pretty much to the point where it doesn't feel at all like a traditional Tomb Raider game. I guess they felt they had to do something drastic to reverse the poor sales of the last several years. Anyway I don't think it is a bad game by any means and the graphics and voice acting in particular are really good but I could have done with a lot less shooting and more platforming and puzzles.

Honestly, I like it less the more the hype wears off. Too much QTE's, barebones cover shooting and forced gameplay, not enough actual tomb raiding and puzzling. The climbing and ledge grabbing are thankfully improved and the game plays well enough to be enjoyable once it gets going, but it feels like the franchise has been homogenized rather than taken to bold, new territories.

At the tail end of the game and really I enjoyed it. The story is cool and the island in general is a great setting, reminds of the TV show Lost a bit. Only thing I really felt was a letdown was the tombs, there's wasn't enough of them and the majority of them were easy. Combat was fun though and the platforming/climbing was top notch as they just replicated what uncharted did and succeded.

The game looks great. Judging from the amount of good reviews it's gotten I may actually get it. I'll certainly check it out.

One of my favourite games to come along in a long time. In saying that though I was never a huge fan of the puzzle element to former Tomb Raider games. This one has just enough puzzles, plenty of action, great atmosphere, an awesome storyline, suspense, great graphics, and keeps you on your toes as you play it.
