TNA Star going back to WWE ?

Matt Morgan stated in a Livecast that once his contract with TNA is up later this year, he may be headed back to WWE.
“I have another year left on my contract with TNA,â€￾ he said. “My fifth of five years. I signed a five year deal with them four years ago. I believe in October it will be up. The way it works is I’m a businessman first and foremost, right? And you try to keep your options open as much as humanly possible. I did start with WWE. They gave me a lot of tools and a lot of knowledge and I was trained by some of the best big men this business has ever had and learned a lot of things from those people over there in WWE. So I was very very lucky.â€￾
He said it was a mistake for WWE to release him five years ago, but he understands in retrospect the circumstances that led to his being part of layoffs in 2005.
“Unfortunately, unluckily I came there during a time when there was a revolving door. The day I got released I believe we lost 22 other guys in a two days span on a Thursday as well as Black Friday in 2005. I believe it was one of those wrong places, wrong time. Timing is everything in this sport.â€￾

I'd be all for this happening. Matt Morgan is a good big guy and would do well in another run with the WWE imo.

I always thought he'd be a better fit within WWE, just needed to go and learn his craft elsewhere first. Think Umaga, or Chris Masters before and after Japan.

Theres a severe lack of talented big guys ATM and hes been horribly misused by TNA.

I like Morgan, he's good in the main event scene as proven by the few times he's been there in TNA, but they've dropped the ball with him. Not been a fan of him as of late, but I blame that on Crimson. I'd like for him to return.

Been saying this since the days of TWC. The guy has literally every tool to be successful, the WHC and even the face of SmackDown imo.

I would really like to see what WWE would do with him this time around.
Id be excited to see him return to the E', but Ill enjoy his time in TNA too.

I'm not a fan of Morgan at all. I'm not denying he's good in the ring and a great big guy, but the second he opens his mouth, he just comes off as super unconvincing imo. I can see him doing well in the WWE. Maybe a few title reigns, but I think he'll probably end up in the Big Show "stuck in the mid-card big guy" spot that only pops up in the main event during a transitional period.

I'm right with you there. I'm usually the guy saying DON'T GO BACK, but TNA has messed up almost EVERY angle he's had. He should stay off the mic a bit, but he's got the skills...can't wait.

(Unfortanuately, that means he's TNA's tool till OCTOBER...I mean, look at him now...building Crimson...)

TNA never really pulled the trigger on him and they could have easily made him a big name there so if WWE can get a hold of his size and his improved skills I'm sure he would be a lot better off there.

Morgan is no loss for TNA on my account. I never found the guy interesting at all

I'd like to see him back in the WWE. He is very good for his size, has a lot of charisma and he has a great build so he could easily be a fan favorite and be in the main event level. If he does go back, I hope they don't give him a st-st-st-st-stu-pid gimmick.

This should've been made one of the major faces of TNA, but like it's been said alot here, they dropped the ball with him. Athletic big men who can actually put together decent promos like him are not made from trees.

If the WWE machine would put their muscles behind this guhy, he could be on Kevin Nash levels of stardom imo.

@Austin 3:16: I see what you did there

Honestly, there's so many similarities with him and Sheamus, it's unreal (Even their finish). Morgan could easily be the WHC on Smackdown if he went back and they wanted him to be.

He's better than Sheamus imo. And Sheamus' billed height is 6 ft 4 in, Morgan' billed height is 6 ft 11 in.
