"The Submission vs. The Streak"

For 3 weeks straight now in reference to Samoa Joe vs. The Pope at Lockdown, Mike Tenay hyped the match saying "at Lockdown, it will be The Submission vs. The Streak!" Making no reference to any submissions or streaks that have been established.

...Does anyone have ANY idea what in the blue hell Tenay is talking about? Or is it just what I thought, that Tenay was thinking of Taker's streak 3 weeks ago and TNA's just so unprofessional that they kept the tagline. Either way, i'm entirely lost.

If it's the latter, LMAO of the year.

No clue. I tried watching Impact again, but know what I found ever more hilarious? The crowd not giving any noticeable care about the Young Bucks breaking up, yet you could hear so much canned heat that I started laughing, then they did it AGAIN with Jarrett's promo. Everyone on camera is sitting on their hands and the crowd apparently is throwing their voices or there must be so many fans at the concession stand because there was a wave of boos like they had an actual draw giving an epic promo. Just awful and I'm 99.9% certain they are using canned heat.

I about cried when Hogan called Bubba Ray the "baddest mother f'er on the planet." :lmmmao:

Edit: This would be a fitting tagline for the 2007 match at Bound For Glory between Joe and Christian, but yeah, this makes no sense, because Pope is nowhere near undefeated. Actually, I think that might have been the tagline for that match between Joe and Christian :lmmmao:

Editx2: btw, that aforementioned match is great for those who haven't seen it. Their match at Destination X 07 is even better though. Amazing. One of my favorite all time TNA matches. Probably the second greatest ppv main event in TNA history actually behind Unbreakable 05. ****1/2

Editx3: Also, wtf happened to Wolfe? Seriously. Haven't seen him since his opening feud with Angle it seems, rofl.

Well perhaps Tenay was just having flashbacks to that Christian match, either way, apparently everyone has a streak of some sort. Maybe he meant the streak oj Joe's horrible booking is on the line, in which case bet the house that the streak will continue.

As far as Wolfe, he's really injured. Like, severe concussion issues, severe arm issues, rumored hepatitis. He was a great wrestler, but he shouldn't get back in that ring again, there's no point in putting your life on the line for a wrestling company.

To Enzo's point, I noticed it too, especially in the Daniels match and the piped in heat for Hogan. It's been going on forever in WWE, but at least they're smart with the camera shots. Who's the TNA director? He always has been laughably bad.

I like TNA and always thought they have something good just haven't been able to produce it yet, but lately i'm getting pissed that they're doing crap like the mentioned Streak vs Submission match.
What are they even talking about, who's streak? and is there a submission that Joe's been putting his opponents in, in which they can't get out?
and what is happening with the TNA titles, seriously? does anyone know?
it's been how long since the tag titles been defended? how long since the X-division has been on the line? that title was bigger than the tna world title and they've basiclly just tossed it aside.
TNA is in such bad shape, it needs to shut down and restart.

I could be wrong but I think that it's "Street" not "Streak". This being pulled from the whole street preacher gimmick of the Pope.

No one else could decipher the stupid shit Tenay says. And his appearance does resemble that of a greyish ghost. Makes sense.

Hehe.... Conjurs up the image of an driven and stubborn Joe relentlessly senton-splashing a pavement (*) for hours.

(*That's a side-walk, Americanoids.)

It's taken some balls for Joe to fight the street... what with crime the way it is these days, he himself has been the victim of knife attacks (from Scott Steiner) and abduction (from ninja-types no less). It was inevitable he would take matters into his own hands.
