CHARACTER HISTORY
As a young adult, Marquise Bridges was more of “The Problem” than “The Solution”. While Marquise was never a bad person at heart, Brooklyn has never been the easiest place to lead a safe, positive, and productive life. Falling victim to his environment, stereotypes, assumptions and accusations, Marquise had to survive life through whatever means were available to him at the time. Growing up as an only child in a struggling family with his hard-working mother and a military father, that unfortunately passed while he was very young, Marquise was never well-off. To financially support both himself and his mother, he got involved in a life riddled with gangs, selling drugs, petty crimes and fighting. Having grown up in that environment, and having experienced jail time, Marquise is by no means a pushover or underdog when it comes to fighting both physically and figuratively. At his lowest of low points in life, Marquise was barely scraping by, abusing alcohol and was very much in an unhealthy mental state. During this trying time, Marquise happened upon a flyer for a local wrestling school and, having remembered his mother’s love of wrestling when he was growing up, he decided to give it a try. Fast forward through a few years of training and picking up boxing, Marquise Bridges came to realize he was pretty good at this whole wrestling thing, but he still didn’t feel full. He was definitely a professional wrestler getting reliable independent bookings, but he wanted to do more. Using his charismatic personality, his yearning to do good and be something bigger than himself, Marquise was able to use wrestling as a way of creating change. Instead of using wrestling as a platform to preach, he used it to fund and build up all of his charity work, volunteer work, community outreach and various other helpful ventures. He runs a children’s program which he named “Building Bridges” that deals with school help, provides family support, counseling, summer camp, job opportunities and fundraising for multiple causes/charities. He still lives modestly, preferring to use his money on everything mentioned before, other than necessities. Marquise is grateful for his place in life/professional wrestling and has never explicitly intended to be the #1 in any company. He would rather be the #1 in the hearts of the people and help improve lives through his outside work, however attaining the #1 spot would enable him to do much more. This kind-hearted man wants nothing more than to contribute good to his community and stretch to wherever in the world he can. Marquise Bridges looks to be “The Solution” to whatever may be “The Problem” in any situation.

ENTRANCE INFORMATION

ENTRANCE MUSIC: "The Solution" by Abstract Rude ft. Slug & Brother Ali

amahrbr5.png

REGULAR ENTRANCE DESCRIPTION
Once the lyrics of the song kick in, Marquise Bridges, wearing a (random color) open button-down shirt, (complimentary color) tanktop, (complimentary color) jeans and a pair of (older time period) sneakers, makes his way onto the stage nodding his head and moving his hands in tune with the music.

Reina de la Cruz: Making his way to the ring, from Brooklyn, NY, weighing in at 167 lbs, open your hearts for “The Solution” Marquise Bridges!

Now on the ramp, Marquise shakes the hands of as many fans as he can, on both sides of the ramp, on his way down to the ring. He stops at the bottom of the ramp and places his hands over his heart, letting off a big smile as the camera zooms in on his face.

Pierce Donovan: (something about his smile, positivity and the love shared between him and the people)

Marquise wipes his feet on the apron, stops to look at the crowd, shakes his head and does a playful shimmy before going between the ropes.

Jasper Phoenix: (something about any goodwill he’s been doing, contrast with not taking him lightly)

Bridges walks to the beat of his music into the center of the ring and removes his button-down shirt, which he then folds nicely and hands to the referee before thanking him and going to his corner.

CHAMPION ENTRANCE DESCRIPTION

Reina de la Cruz: Making his way to the ring, from Brooklyn, NY, weighing in at 167 lbs, open your hearts for “The Solution” Marquise Bridges, champion for the people!

Now on the ramp, Marquise points at the title and then at the crowd around him saying “This is for you! This is for you! Be The Solution! Be a Champion!”. He stops at the bottom of the ramp and places his free hand over his heart, letting off a big smile as the camera zooms in on his face, then the title.

Pierce Donovan: (something about his smile, positivity and his philosophy on being a champion)

I really appreciate that you make entrance videos for your characters. The level of detail you put in to these is insanely good Jonny.

Big thumbs up my friend. I like the choice of picture base.

Thanks. I've always been of the mindset that if you're going to do something, do it to the best of your current abilities.
And it makes it more personal with that extra touch of love.

The Solution is a great choice for a nickname too. It goes well with the Bridges name. I like how everything feels right and fits. Background story is interesting on him as well. Once being the problem, and now a 'solution'. I really love this a lot.

I wish I could say that happened easily, took forever for the fucking name when I thought of this lol. Background story I tried to make extremely realistic and down to Earth, which is something I have never done. And thank you for the feedback, tears of appreciation. :kurtcry
