Idea taken from The Guardian, a simple 6 song playlist that defines you:

1. First song you bought

2. The song that always gets you dancing

3. The song that takes you back to your childhood

4. Your perfect love song

5. The song you'd want to play at your funeral

6. The encore, the one song that makes you, you.

What's yours?

1. First song you bought.....My first CD was All Eyez on Me by Tupac, and the first song I listened to was California Love

2. The song that always gets you dancing...Midnight City by M83

3. The song that takes you back to your childhood...3 Libras by A Perfect Circle (I wasn't a child when it came out, but when I hear it I am reminded of my childhood, more because of the actual music in the song, not exactly because of the lyrics).

4. Your perfect love song...(Everything I Do) I Do It For You by Bryan Adams

5. The song you'd want to play at your funeral...The Scientist by Coldplay

6. The encore, the one song that makes you, you. 30-30/150 by Stone Sour

The music I picked is:

1. First song you bought
U2 - Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me. Went to the shop wanting that song from the Batman movie (Seal's "Kissed By A Rose" BTW), picked up the cassette with Batman on, popped it in the hi-fi and realised I bought the wrong song  Still, decent enough first record.

2. The song that always gets you dancing
Example - Kickstarts. This came out at the height of my Saturday nights in town period. My mate is a big fan of the artist in question, leading to this song being requested at bars repeatedly.

3. The song that takes you back to your childhood
S Club 7 - Bring It All Back. I remember watching the TV series that got this band off the ground religiously when it was on. I'd totally mark for a reunion tour.

4. Your perfect love song
Shinedown - If You Only Knew. 3rd most played song on my iTunes account, just seems to connect with me.

5. The song you'd want to play at your funeral
Alter Bridge - In Loving Memory. A song about the lead guitarists mother dying, probably the choice of several rockers around the world.

6. The encore, the one song that makes you, you.
Jason Mraz - The Remedy (I Won't Worry). "I won't worry my life away". Why the fuck worry over shit you can't control. Get back up, deal with it and keep moving along. Goes perfectly with a favourite quote of mine; "Pain is inevitable, suffering is optional".

1. First song you bought
The first album I remember buying was Weird Al Yankovic in 3D, and the big song on that was "Eat It" so I'll say that.

2. The song that always gets you dancing
Song 2 by Blur. I don't care where I am or who's playing it, I have an undeniable urge to hit the dance floor the moment that guitar line starts.

3. The song that takes you back to your childhood
Thriller by Michael Jackson. I could have picked any random 80's tune but this one really stands out due to how many birthday parties I went to with it playing at some point or another.

4. Your perfect love song
A Heart Needs A Home by Richard and Linda Thompson. Just a really nice song, simple, yet totally effective.

5. The song you'd want to play at your funeral
Sing by Blur. Blur isn't even one of my favourite bands yet they make it on this list twice. Sing is an amazing song and certainly a fitting funeral tune.

6. The encore, the one song that makes you, you.
Echoes by Pink Floyd. A grand opus full of layers and textures that are multi-faceted in depth, endlessly on a journey of self-discovery. That sums me up to a tee.
