Yeah I don't really have any opinion on it since I don't follow overseas politics much but the fuckery that's followed after that vote has been hilarious.

So do we think the DNC will finally drop "muh Russia" now or will they continue to push this narrative anyway to the 2020 campaigns?

It's a complicated and delicate situation, I believe. On one hand, if you drop it...You look as if you are saying "Okay, there was nothing there" and show a bit of weakness to a party that prides itself on being tough. On the other? If you continue carrying on about it, you make yourself one dimensional.

I believe it was a large mistake to put all the eggs in one basket for the democrats with the Russia/Collusion angle. Personally, I don't ever think that's a wise idea and too much of a gamble.

That being said, I do not think that is by any means the biggest detriment to the DNC right now, but instead the inner party divisiveness. However, this is also something that there is ample time to figure out.

Shouldn't have fucked Bernie over. G.

Libertarian party will rise and save us!

Anyway, it doesn't matter if they dont want it released or not. Freedom of information act is a great thing. Even though, when requested, the government will take its sweet ass time trying to relinquish it. Ask me how I know that one. Fuck you Pike County

I'm don't have many libertarian beliefs myself but fuck I just want anything to disrupt this two-party system that keeps getting worse and worse the longer it goes on. I'm so tired of picking the least worst candidate instead of one that might actually be good.

There's actually quite a bit of overlap between conservatives and libertarians. If a libertarian ran on the GOP ticket, they may have a shot.

Similar to how Bernie is an independent but runs as a Democrat. Even though the DNC screwed him over in the end. :side:

Yeah if you guys have ever heard of the website isidewith.com it asks you a shit ton of questions politically and then shows you what current candidates and parties you match up with the best. I'm always around 40% libertarian and like 15-20% GOP, so the overlap is definitely there and I think that's where I disagree with libertarians, but overall I'm not super against them except for the ones that claim to be libertarians but are basically just pseudo-anarchists.

Pretty much this.
That being said, I'd say I'm about as far from libertarian as it gets and side more with the GOP than them, if anything. I dislike their economics entirely, and think their view on taxes is just silly and uneducated. I would say it's very much idealist, yet not realistic. Expecting things like public services and roadways to be fixed and maintained by the people instead of by tax is just hogwash. It'd never happen, certainly not at a scale of size as this country.

Much like communism, it sounds decent and likable on paper, but humanity gets in the way of making it work.

I can bend and budge on economic stances, though. It is social stances I will not yield on, such as equality for LGBT and all races.

Another thing that I refuse to give an inch on is science, and the environment. I think these are critical.

Too bad a center candidate is basically impossible now bc they'd just end up being hated by all the sides for not being extreme enough one way or another. All the parties we have in this country, GOP, Dems, Libertarians, and Socialists have great ideas and terrible ideas for running the country and our government is supposed to be set up for them to work together and combine those ideas, but that's not possible in this era of "WINNING!" and blindly supporting one party while blindly hating the others

Centrism is viewed as weak and not strong enough viewed.

Unfortunately, it's largely a reality TV show and popularity contest at this point.

Take for example, Jeb Bush. He had more sensible and traditional GOP values, and was in many ways a solid candidate. Why did he fail? He was coined as "boring" and not outrageous enough, essentially.

I see that said a lot about Libertarians when it comes to economics. Usually when I see someone in a video trying to explain it, they're only explaining Anarco Capitalism, which is what a few people want. Now there are multiple forms of Capitalism (Hey, even those loveable all white nordic countries follow capitalistic economic models). There are about 10 different ones that various Libertarians support, however we all get lumped into one big category. Just like Lefties get thrown into a single category by others. Just like righty gets thrown together. It's like Baskin Robin's, but with only a dozen flavors rather than 31.

I'm not sure if you were referring to GOP or Libertarian supporters with LGBT and racial issues, but Libetarians have no problem with equality. Now Equality doesnt mean I'm going to baby someone and tell them it's not their fault their life turned out the way it did. But I'm not going to kick them. Instead, extend the hand and help them stand. Give them encouragement and try to help some way. If I can't fix the issue, I got a smart phone and a search engine that isnt Google so we good. Not going to tell someone deserve $15 an hour to flip a burger while the rest of the Time they play on their smartphone. That's not equality.

And most importantly I'm not going to say Black panther and Captain Marvel were good movies, because they weren't. However, not going to jump on the "oh my god, let's boycott Marvel!" That is straight nonsense. Plus my love of Venom and Iron Man "Trumps" all hate, haha. :p

Instead we got stuck with a spray tanned geriatric who boasts about his penis size, and pays pornstars hush money.
