I wish we knew what his numbers would be if he didn't miss time to fight in the war. Man had hitting down to a science. That's a big reason I think he was the GOAT.

Yeah when you hold the MLB record for most bases stolen by a country mile (50% more than the 2nd place person) and 2nd most walks all-time, you're an absolute monster at the plate on on the bases.

The stories of Rickey Henderson are also just incredible because they're just like the Ichiro stories, a complete microcosm of an enigmatic personality.
