Yankees where foolish for not being in on either Flaherty, Verlander or Lorenzen at the deadline. All they have in that rotation is Cole until Nestor comes back
Well good thing that's this weekend lol. But you're 100% right it was fucking bonkers that they didn't do anything aside from a DFA'd middle reliever. The Yanks have been a joke this season. Their batting lineup's bad, the pitching rotation's bad and they didn't bother to make any major moves in acquiring players, to try to make their team any better. They're 55-50 right now, last in the decision despite a very competitive AL East division. At this rate with all the struggles, it's gonna take a miracle for them to fight through the gauntlet, to reclaim the top spot in the division like they did last season.
oh they ain't winning the division. It's not impossible to get a Wild Card, but they need the guys who've been playing like shit all year to start playing good for the rest of the year. Cashman says they're just struggling but it's possible guys like LeMahieu/Stanton/Rizzo could just be on the decline.
Judge needs to stay healthy too, that seems like a different team without Aaron Judge
