The Wanted Man
Apparently the Padres offered Trea Turner more than 341 million which would have made him the highest paid infielder in baseball. That's freaking nuts. I don't know if my desire to live on the east coast would have caused me to turn down over 40 million dollars lol.
I don’t wanna live in California. But you give me 40 million a fucking year and I would during baseball season

East Coast, especially where it's fuck all cold in the winter. Give me that money and that San Diego weather and I don't give a shit if I ever make the world series.

Apoho Creed

I'm the Doctor

Who wouldn't love the East Coast as I live in Delaware. Flus, Sore Throats, Colds it's a hell of a time over him come visit me one day.

Bellinger to the Cubs as well but the Cubs aren't going anywhere anytime soon so it's a silent fart with that scoop up I feel. I like the pickup for the Phils money is kinda high but he's going to be a 3 or 4th Starter and we needed to fill those spots and have the Team trust his skills.

He had an offer for similar money from the Giants. And the Padres were in talks and about to put an offer on the table for same/more money.

He bet on himself last off-season and got himself another $150M. But the Yankees needed to pony up this much to get him.

I do. His production will dip the last 3 years where his performance will not match the salary. But the organization will make the money back 100 fold from marketing long before then.

Also in 6 years we do not know the financial landscape of the sport. It is possible that his contract is not as much of an albatross by the end of it due to higher luxury tax numbers and increased contract value.
