Brian Cage joined AEW not long after it started, was hyped as a really good pickup for them, yet despite winning the FTW title has been missing in action for what feels like forever.

What's the deal with him?

Did he upset someone he shouldn't have?

Will Triple H sign him up?

And he won't pass a piss test....so no....no Triple signing.

Cage said he wasn't expecting a new contract offer himself but Tony offered him one in ROH instead so that's the deal rn, he re-signed himself. I assume the lack of ROH TV is currently hurting him since he has appeared at the 2 Tony Khan produced shows, but not having TV for 6 months has put a damper on everything really

As far as pre-ROH stuff...meh I never saw a lot in him myself so I didn't care that he wasn't really used the best (will admit he coulda been used better, but again don't care lol)

Brian Cage is built like a monster and can move like a Cruiserweight. I’m honestly shocked by his reception online. Dude should go back to Impact when his ROH deal expires. Impact used him quite well. That’s unless his ROH run is actually decent.

He's just boring to me lol I enjoy him in-ring wise but outside of that pretty much not at all

I agree he’s not a great promo, but that’s why you just slap a good heater with him. He was perfect with Taz.

Yeah its hard for me to explain too bc it's not as simple as not a good promo? Cause i def like other people that aren't too lol and a manager helps Cage a lot but even with one I'm still just not seeing a maim event player.

That being said he has Prince Nana on ROH now I hope that lasts

great wrestler, with a lot of potential - but lacks actual creativity in the ring when put up against certain opponents.

at his best in character in AAA Marvel - makes me think he would be better as a masked gimmick character / comedic - in the Orange Cassidy chikara origins style

Him and Nana should be a good pairing.

And I don’t necessarily think he should be a main event guy. I see him more like Kane. A good hand to have consistently in a midcard angle like can slide into the upper mid and main event when needed.

Ah yeah I wouldn't mind this role either, becomes a bit eh when you know he doesn't really have a chance of winning but they've used Archer similarly already, nothing wrong with having some usual challengers for Champions

yeah I guess for me he kind of suffers from Tony Nese syndrom. He looks amazing, does great moves and is seemingly easy to work with. Problem is that he just never seems to be the most over or charismatic guy in the room and I just never care about him. Dunno why.

any career with an Impact World, X-Division and PWG Tag Team titles - sounds like a great pro wrestling career either way.

I honestly think he would be best going back to AAA or Impact - or that NJPW or NOAH would both be great fits for him too
