Bobby Roode vs. James Storm--Bound for Glory. Street fight with King Mo as a Special Enforcer. Storm does a clothesline on Roode outside the ring and a Side Russian Leg-Sweep onto the guard rails. Storm DDT's Roode on the entrance ramp. Roode gives Storm a Spine-buster on the entrance ramp. Roode spears Storm through a table. Inside the ring, Storm attempts a Razor's Edge on a bed of thumbtacks but Roode muscles out of the move. He isn't so fortunate, though, when Storm nails him with the Last Call Superkick onto the thumbtacks and pins him.

It was a bloody match which lived up to its billing. Mo and Roode stare each other down but King Mo never interferes in the match.

This match was nominated for Pro Wrestling Illustrated's Match of the Year. WWF's New Generation contained some exciting matches.

Miss Tessmacher vs. Tara for Tessmacher's Knockout's title. Bound for Glory. It's the teacher versus the student as Tara squares off against her pupil Tessmacher. Tara beats up Tessmacher to start off the match. Tessmacher counters with a headscissors--DDT combination. When Tessmacher gets the upper-hand, Tara resorts to brawling, such as grabbing her hair and slamming Tess' head into the canvas. Tessmacher misses an elbow smash, which gives Tara the chance to hit the Widow's Peak and win the Knockout's title.

The storyline leading up to this match was run-of-the-mill. On TNA Impact, Tara congratulated Tess for beating her in their first match. As Tess was celebrating, Tara sneak attacks her. You could see the swerve coming a mile away.

Sting and Bully Ray vs. Aces & Eights. Bound for Glory. Storyline leading up to this match is Joseph Park has been kidnapped by Aces & Eights and Sting, Hogan, and Bully have to come rescue him. Joseph Park is handcuffed on the steel guard rails. The beginning of the match is Sting and Bully brawl with Aces & Eights outside the ring. Inside the ring, Aces dominates the action but it's slow-moving. The only real spark is when Bully picks up an Aces member on his shoulder and Sting climbs the top turnbuckle and hits him with a Doomsday Device.

Aces wins after slamming Bully Ray through a table. Hogan storms the ring and unmasks the Aces member it's--no surprises here--D-Von Dudley. Hogan and Sting's eyes bulge out and their jaws drop but the ending reeks of Halloween Havoc '94 when Hogan takes the mask off of his stalker and it's his best friend Brutus Beefcake. Gasp!

Austin Aries vs. Jeff Hardy for Aries' World title. Bound for Glory. Aries starts off by taking Hardy down with a couple of side headlocks. Jeff reverses with a head scissors but Aries gets out with a head-stand. As the match progresses, Aries elbow-drops Jeff on the ring apron and then takes a victory lap outside the ring. Jeff nails Aries with a flying cross-body against the steel railings. Back in the ring, Aries executes a cradle backbreaker and a missile dropkick on the back of Jeff's head. Aries attempts a Last Chancery submission but Jeff gets to the rope. Jeff does the Twist of Fate but Aries kicks out. Aries does the brain-buster but Jeff kicks out. Hardy does another a Twist of Fate and executes a Swanton Bomb and pins Aries to become the new TNA Champion.

Give-and-take action. I was pining for Aries to retain his title.

Austin Aries vs. Bobby Roode for Roode's World title. Destination X. Roode starts off with a wristlock. Roode blocks Aries' momentum with a shoulder block. Aries slows down Roode with a side headlock. Roode counters with head-scissors. Chain wrestling and counters to start it off.

Aries attempts a suicide dive but Roode telegraphs it and Aries crashes against the guard rails. Back inside the ring, Roode hurts Aries with a front suplex. He clamps down on Aries with a body scissors. Roode with a fireman's carry converted into a slam. Aries clotheslines Roode over the ropes and follows up with a sucide dive and, this time, he hits his target. Out of desperation as he was losing the match and his title, Roode pushes Aries towards ref Brian Hebner and knocks Hebner out. But Hebner quickly recovers. Aries gets a near fall with an inside cradle. But he hits Roode with a Brainbuster to win the match. The crowd goes bezerk!

A match in which Bret Hart claimed Andre nearly killed Bam Bam by wrestling stiff because Andre didn't like Bam Bam.

Wish they did more with Malenko before he retired. Also a good example of a more technical driven match going over well with blood thirsty ECW fans.

Bromans & DJ Zee vs. American Wolves. Sacrifice. It's no-disqualification for the Bromans tag team titles. Wolves dominate the action from the opening bell and don't let up. Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards execute a Double-Frankensteiner on the Bromans. They do a double elevated hip-toss on DJ Zee onto his teammates. Wolves double-team Robbie E. into a corner with knife-edge chops and kicks. Edwards' hits him with a Boston knee party.

The Bromans eventually slows it down. Robbie wears Edwards down with a chinlock. Jesse Godderz hurts Edwards with a bear-hug. But when Edwards tags his partner, Richards does a springboard dropkick on Godderz. Edwards powerbombs Robbie with Richards following it up with a double knee-lift. Wolves climb the top turnbuckle and executes the double-stomp on Godderz. Wolves are new tag champions.

Ken Anderson vs. Samuel Shaw in a Committed match. Sacrifice. The only way to win is to put your opponent in a paddy wagon and close both doors shut. Anderson dominates throughout. Anderrson clotheslines Shaw over the rope in the beginning of the match. Ken brawls with Shaw on the ring apron. Shaw gets some offense in when he applies a judo chokehold on Anderson. Anderson does a persuasive job of "selling" the move, his eyes roll back and he loses consciousness. When they brawl on the ramp, Anderson puts Shaw up on a fireman's carry converted into a slam. Anderson irsh-whips Shaw into the steel rails. He bodyslams Shaw onto the moving dolly. Anderson waits a good eight seconds before he closes the paddy wagon door shut to haul Shaw away.

It felt like a foregone conclusion as you know Anderson was gonna win. Shaw is obsessed with Christy Hemme because his mother's name is Christy and his mother has red hair (like Hemme). Anderson is the knight in shining armor, protecting Hemme from the maniacal Shaw. It felt like it was derived from the WWF storyline of DDP having an obsession with Undertaker's wife Sara.
