This thread has turned on so amazingly for me and me specifically as a Texas sports fan.

I thank you, Juice.

The Texans would run wild in Arizona as they would prove to be the far superior team of the Super Bowl beating the Cowboys 45-27 in a game that would see the Texans score six touchdowns including an impressive Pick 6 defensive touchdown from Kenan Barkley whose performance as a defensive back would end up being awarded as the game's MVP as the Texans would achieve the miraculous 19-0 season.

Mark Stoops would retire as a Head Coach after ten seasons in the league with a coaching record of 116-43-1 with a 72.5% winning percentage records including including a 15-5 playoff record and four Super Bowl victories. It would be revealed during the half-time show that Mark Stoops would be inducted in the Hall of Fame as part of the class of 2009. Mark Stoops would confirm during the post-game press conference that he really was hanging up his coat and he would no longer be involved in running a team as a Head Coach.

Is this the end of Mark Stoops?

Or does his dynasty live on through his assistant and second in commander Jarno Stormberd?

One thing is for certain. Mark Stoops has changed the course of the National Football League forever.

epilogue-header.jpg

Jarno Stormberd would find himself in a strange position as he would have total control of the Houston Texans, without having to report to Mark Stoops. The one problem that he seemed to be facing however was that Stoops departure had certainly effected the overall morale of the playing squad and although Stormberd was a familiar face the setup within Houston still felt very different. Dak Prescott was starting to show sign of real regression and the Texans would be unrecognisable compared to the undefeated Super Bowl Winners, with some suggestion being that with Jadeveon Clowney no longer running the defence having retired - the Texans had lost an edge.

Stormberd though wouldn't have the worst debut season as a Head Coach as he would hold a record of 10-6 with the Texans. Unfortunately for Stormberd the Texans would fail to make the playoffs because of the superior form of other teams within the division.

AFC SOUTHWINSLOSSTIES%Points Difference
Jacksonvill Jaguars11500.688+116
Indianapolis Colts10600.625+26
Houston Texans10600.625+24
Tennessee Titans9700.563+38

It was clear that the Texans fan were left shocked in the realisation that their back to back Super Bowl victories had now been followed up with a 3rd place finish in the AFC South. Jarno Stormberd would still be deemed as having a positive season as a rookie head coach and would be deemed as being as unfortunate for not reaching the playoffs on his first attempt as a Head Coach. Strangely enough though Super Bowl 64 would be claimed by a team in the AFC South, and it would be a maiden victory for the Jacksonville Jaguars who would beat Philadelphia Eagles 20-26.

The major problem that Jarno Stormberd would face would be a mass exodus of players that would refuse to resign with the Texans to continue into the next season with a number of key players like Kenny Clark, Danielle Hunter, Kendall Fuller to name just a few who clearly had seen an opportunity to move on using the excuse of Stoops departure and a lack of playoff football to get large contracts in the latter portions of their career. To make it even more problematic the Texans found themselves in a position where Dak Prescott was really starting to show signs of age, but it was becoming a struggle to unearth a worthy replacement. The 2030 season however you be miserable for Jarno Stormberd with the Texans slumping to 4-10-2 for the season with the Texans seemingly having collapsed after the mass departure of players during the offseason. Indianapolis Colts would go on to win Super Bowl 65 meaning that for the last four seasons only a team from the AFC South had been crowned Super Bowl Champions.

After the end of the season Jarno Stormberd would announce that he was resigning from his post as the Texans' Head Coach and that he had signed a multi-year contract with the University of Florida as he would become the Head Coach of the Florida Gators. Stormberd would state that he had spent twelve years working in the National Football League, but felt very disconnected from the professional game and wanted to return to his roots.

The 2031 season would be the first season in thirteen years that Mark Stoops or Jarno Stormberd had actively been involved in the running of an NFL Franchise.

(John Collison - Carolina Panthers Owner)

John Collison who had purchased the Carolina Panthers at the start of the season to become majority shareholder would make a major announcement that he had been involved in a massive acquisition with the Tennessee Titans and that he had purchased the intellectual property and all rights pertaining to the Houston Oilers from the 1960-1996 and would announce that the Carolina Panthers would relocate next season and that the historic Houston Oilers would return to the National Football League for the first time since in thirty five years. Collision would also reveal that the history of the Carolina Panthers would cease to exist and that the reborn Houston Oilers would not be considered to have a shared history with the Panthers. Collison would then reveal that Mark Stoops had been hired as the franchise's General Manager. The 2031 season would see the Baltimore Ravens win Super Bowl 66.

The first game of the 2032 season would see the Houston Oilers play their first game in thirty years as they would travel to Kansas to play the Chiefs in what would be incredibly tough game with both side battling in a nail biting affair that would see a tight scoreline, however in the last seconds of the game rookie kicker Walker would convert a field goal to give the Houston Oilers a final play win on their return game in the National Football League 23-20.

A camera crew would film the Mark Stoops the Oilers General Manager smiling from the rafters following the Oilers first victory since their rebirth and the analysts would simply ask one question. Would Mark Stoops be a key player in aiding yet another franchise becoming a football super power?
