I mean that’s just not true. “Remake” doesn’t mean the same. Like yes the story is the same but they can add shit to make it unique. In the Aladdin remake, they gave princess Jasmine her own song, they gave Aladdin and Jasmine more of a backstory, and they gave Jasmine’s father more to do than just being a loopy father. In the Beauty and the Beast remake, they gave Belle a lot more backstory on her mother and again… gave the father more to do. It’s not like these movies were literally just shot for shot remakes with not a single piece of new footage or whatever to make them unique. Fucking A

Just never felt like watching them. Back when they started to come out I was really only into comedy movies or kids movies at the time. As I got older and liking other stuff I just never watched them. One day I’ll probably do it

Alright well this thread has gone totally off the rails lmao so back to the little mermaid. The brief clip we got looks pretty good. The underwater scene looks beautiful and Halle Bailey has an amazing voice. Hopefully this movie hits the mark. I’m REALLY looking forward to Daveed Diggs as Sebastian because I loved him in Hamilton.
